Anyone know of a good tutorial website for those new to PHP? I've got PHP for Dummies eBook, but I think it was written by a real dummie because I can't understand a damn thing, the way it's written they don't put 2 & 2 together or give any full coding examples. I need something preferably with large coding examples. I started learning HTML originally on my own just reading the Source code.

I forgot which online tutorial I used, but php is a really damn easy language to learn. All you really need to know is basic syntax, then the php manual is really good for finding functions and stuff.

Here's a random tutorial from a website I learned some other stuff from
http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp

after you know your basics, probably your best resource
http://www.php.net/manual/en/

after you know the basics the best way to learn (in my oppinion) is to just code lots of random stuff that does increasingly more complicated things. You might also want to learn how to use mysql or sql in gerneral. For websites Phpmyadmin is awesome for managing mysql databases, and the coding for it isn't too complicated. Once you know basics looking at source codes can also help tons, look at source code for certain math programs, and even open source web apps like phpbb 'n stuff.

Yea those are both places I've used before to learn PHP... good places and a good learning source

it's one of the easiest to learn... if not THE easiest, but maybe you're lookin at it too hard O_o making it more complicated than it is >.>; hope those work for you from Dave^^

If you don't mind learning out of a book, a tangible one, pick up a SAM's book. I find their learning curves a bit easier to follow.
