This is why you go over everything before you go in if they've never done Nyzul Isle before. I've had people fill in for my static that were completely new to Nyzul Isle, but I always ran them through the different floors before we go in.

My fault for assuming that someone going on a boss run would know how basic Nyzul floors function. Live and learn.

If they've never done Nyzul Isle before, they're not going to magically know what to do just because it's a boss run.

Then they'd never do nyzul and never get any experience. At least 90% of the nyzul shouts that I've seen are for boss floors, most people actually advance through a static.

Plus, this would have happened regardless of if it was a boss run or an advancement run; it's not like lamps only show up for boss runs.

Oh, I know. I've been in a good linkshell for a long time, though, so I tend to take for granted the fact that not everyone plays this game in a group.

Might I remind you that when you came to our linkshell, you were rocking STR rings for TP gear, a smilodon mantle, that foogly Jaguar hat, and resisted us when we suggested Haste gear?

I once joined a pick up shouting for 50-60 floor up. We all join the party and we enter. Seems like everyone knows what they are doing, then Tharivol asks why we were doing 51+ and not 56+ as he just wanted to do boss. He obviously mis-read the shout and we all started the run. He whined a bit but what the heck, it was his mistake and we were all inside and already used our tags. If i remember correctly the first was a lamp floor. We all go searching for lamps. I was both sneak and invis and was searching. Go down a couple of corridors going a couple of different directions then see on the chat log. Away from bulk of the party

He decided to waste his and the other 5 people's tag because he misread a shout. He should have stayed and sucked the mistake up (We all make them) He must have logged out straight after, so we couldn't ask him wtf..

We get past 4 floors but failed on the last. Not the end of the world but hey, everytime I see his name I think of him doing this. He may be the most skilled nice guy in game but I just remember him using those flies whn in a huff.

ahhh good old NA pickups. It's sad so many people fail at nyzul when the event is designed to be done in quick shouts, like assault.

People shouting for climbs around boss floors will shout gear in there too. Read the numbers.

Shouldn't it be the responsibility of anyone joining an event to inform the leader that they're new and need to know of any important information concerning the event? Everyone is blaming the leader for rushing which is partially true but it still doesn't excuse the noob for not even bothering to learn wtf to do.

That is a bare faced lie. The shout was 50-60 but you are right in saying that it was free lot on gear. If i remember correctly, if we cleared 51-55 then cleared 56 -60 there would have been gear to lot on. Correct?

At that time I was more interested in climbing and would never have joined a run that didn't allow me to climb a bit. I needed 50+, there was a shout for 51-60 so joined it. So did you, although you made a mistake. You weren''t tricked. How would you feel if someone wasted a tag of yours due to their own error?

In the days after the new weapon skills there was a huge influx of people starting out on Nyzul Isle. I had spent 7 months in a static getting all my floors to then have to re-do them after SE changed the system. So there was plenty of shouts for climbing runs, then but not so much now.
