Think i might try this out for a month or to just for kicks.

Hear its a lot like Eve Online. Wanted to get into that but by the time i realized i wanted to i was way to behind in skills to do anything useful.
So what else you guys hear about this game?

I've heard it's pretty good. I was supposed to be a part of the beta testing but my pc broke down right after I got it all installed and updated so I didn't get a chance to actually play it. Good luck getting into the beta if that's what you're trying to do. ^^

Will this game be Rated ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR?

yeah I guess its like eve online except minus the part where its good. why make a pirate game if you can't blow up everyone you fucking see.

I'm in the beta for PotBS. I like to honor the NDCs of the games I BETA for so, I won't share too much detail. Just know that I find that it's pretty awesome. Open Sea battles and missions can get pretty intense. You won't find any problems knowing where you're supposed to go or what to do for the next step in a mission. The part about the game that I've enjoyed the most is that you learn how things work in the game as you play through missions that earn you exp. As an example, there is a tutorial for how the "economy" works (economy in PotBS is likened to our crafting system in FFXI) and you have to talk to several people. As you complete each conversation you learn what you need to do to start making items to sell/use and earn exp at the end of each conversation.

There's so much I'd like to say, but just can't due to the NDC. I will say that PotBS stands to be the game that pulls me away from FFXI. I would highly recommend to anyone to at least try the game for a month or two.

And just so I won't sound one-sided, I will throw out one of my dislikes about the game... SOE is involved, enough said?

If you got more questions, ask and I'll try to do my best to get you an answer that doesn't violate the NDC.
