But yeah that was one hell of a bastard cliffhanger ending.

....

I think one of my friends cried during that sceen.

Lol it is gonna be next summer? I didn't know about that, figured it would be similiar to the wait inbetween 1st and 2nd.

but i was under the impression the third movie was to be a prequel...

and did everyone stay for the post credit scene?

i remember after the 1st they had the monkey swim back and steal coin from the chest, this one however, was pure hiliarity.
 
That movie was soooo awesome lol

I was wonderin when Rush/Barbossa was going to appear because I had checked IMDB and saw he was listed as being in it. I figured it was going to be a flashback, but I love how they did it. And how they put in Norrington was awesome too. :D

I can't wait for next summer now.
 
Aeesome movie. Johnny Depp was hilarious as usual. Keira Knightley was hot, Orlando Bloom was awesome. The whole theater applauded when Barbossa showed up at the end. Amazing.
 
Pirates of the caribbean = hotness ^^

So many fitties... :O <3 But yeah, great films and I really enjoy them, but I can't help thinking that the sequel wasn't as funny as the first. Great action and special effects though :O

so it wasnt just me...good. I got nothing in the way of...that is a quite a humorous line, i cannot wait to try and work that into a conversation tomorrow. Otherwise there would have been something more than just "savvy" in meh OP.
 
The style of this film was executed flawlessly ... I particularly liked the visual effects with Davy Jones' crew ... seeing people in various stages of morphing into anthropomorphic "sea monsters" was very cool.

I remember thinking that the fight scenes were so ridiculously over the top, that they therefore became ridiculously good. Very epic. ^^

Was I the only one who saw that "surprise" ending coming a mile away? I don't mean throughout the majority of the movie, but as soon as the voodoo woman mentioned another "captain" that would have the knowledge necessary, it was the first thing that popped into my head.

I thought there were a few good ones, but none that stuck out like the ones from the first.

And as for the fight scenes, the movie is about the Fantasy of pirates, not what they realy were like. Its fitting that they have these lavish sword fights and so on.
But the one with the Waterwheel was just perfect.
 
Yeah I was a bit disappointed, enjoyed it and all - but no where as good as the first....and was wayyyyyy too long, IMO.

But Johnney Deep was fabulous as always <3 Cannot wait for #3. This one seemed to be the quintessential "middle" movie. Cute and fun, but all in all - Filler.
