Currently @ 68 I have 600k to blow on it. How far do you think I can get?

Cheap synths:
Demon's knife from 68 until 73
~3k per synth NPCs for 1.9k

Followed by:

Marid Tusk arrowheads from 72~73 until 78
~3.5k per synth
NPC for 46 gil each, can AH for a bit more then that but these are slow sellers.
So when PL'ing you're better off NPCing these.
My personal opinion is don't do these but go for the alternative:

Tigerfangs from 72~73 until 79
3.2k per synth
This synth actually does make a very decent profit at the AH as they are used for the PUP Valoredge frame I believe.
But as you will probably be synthing a lot of them for the skill ups you can also sell these for break even at NPC vendors.

Chance is that you will probably have to farm a lot of these materials, but the only alternative is the coral fragment path which is very expensive.

Unless you have the luck to break an ungodly amount of synths, you should.

You'll just need a huge amount of patience and wait for ingredients to appear on AH or go farm yourself.
But as you have thf leveled, farming mats should not be that big a problem making the next levels pretty profitable.

It pains me to know that 600k will get you those 12 levels. Several mil and farming everyday for months in the castle is what you used to have to do.

Very true, you can at least enjoy signing your own stuff Gohaan. This is one of the easier crafts in the final stretch as well.
