Plaxico Burress

Why should Plaxico's sentence be less the Vick's? By bringing a gun into a night club like that, he put every single persons life in jeopardy that was in the club with him. It is a very real possibility, every year people die in clubs here in Gainesville and I can only imagine how many more die in a place like New York City. This is about protecting HUMAN lives, which contrary to popular belief are significantly more important than that of a dog. For some reason people's hearts tend to bleed a lot more for the poor defenseless dogs that are killed, and true it is very sad. But what about the defenseless bystander who gets shot by a stray bullet because two thugs decided to settle things in a club with guns? The fact that Plaxico DIDN'T shoot anyone just means that instead of 20-life, hes only looking at 3 years.

Dogs are people!

2nd question who wears sweats at a club?

They are all thugs with more money then they know what to do with. you cant take the hood out of everyone only the ones that want to change. no pacman comments up with a topic like this i thought there would be some.

I watch a pretty good amount of ESPN, and though I take everything said on that network with a grain of salt, after Joey Porters comments yesterday about Plax, I actually had a slight change of mindset.

Carrying a gun, though legal, still seems like an awful idea. Mr. Porter himself was shot (in the ass) a few years back outside of a Denver nightclub. If he had been carrying then, what could he have done about it? Same with Darrent Williams of Denver last year, who was shot while riding in a car that was sprayed with gunfire. Carrying a weapon is a very safe idea inside of your home or automobile, but taking it out with you into the general public tucked in your waistband is just not a smart idea. Porter made reference to being a target, because of the amount of money and fame he has, and that is very valid, but carrying a weapon isn't always the best solution.

I feel remorse for said athletes, and even someone like Sean Taylor who was stabbed inside his own home, but taking a gun into public, and then accidentally shooting yourself is unacceptable.
