This is not a flame, but merely a warning about a rather rude and inconsiderate player here on Quetzalcoatl.
I was leveling Scholar in Buburimu Peninsula this evening, and many other people seemed to be doing roughly the same with their various jobs as well. While doing so, a Samurai by the name of 'Duffman' ran through and killed every monster that was around, even while it was obvious people were exp'ing. When asked if he would stop killing enemies that people were exp'ing off of, he responded for me to 'piss off', to put it simply without going word-for-word on what went on. I would take a screenshot, but I play on console, so it is not a possibility without perhaps borrowing a camera.
If this person is going to be this inconsiderate all the time, as it would seem he is just from this incident when I asked politely for him to stop, I believe a fair warning should be out on QCDN for such behavior.

Ironic is the first three people to respond to this thread considering they deserve their own warnings, lol.

Bah that hippocrit. I even felt kinda bad for him in his flame for Anester lol.

So wait, people actually come to qcdn and complain about something they think is wrong, but then when it comes to themself or someone they know, it's okay to do it? Well this comes totally out of left field!

Was Anester in your party? And did this happen before he screwed Duffman out of his camp...... would be funny.

Note: Funny how he whined about the same thing, not funny it happened to you ; ;

Two outcomes.

1) Anester is in your party.
2) He wasn't.

1. Karma sucks.

2. Massive hypocrite on his part.

I'd help with the "word for word" but I've been killing so many mobs in Buburimu that it fell off the log list. Yeah it's ironic considering my flame on Anester but I was not harrassing anyone. I popped in, killed things, and pointed my feet east and kept killing in that direction.

I'm d1cking around with unlocking all of the jobs. Some that seem interesting, I'm going to about 20 to see if I like them. I was just going for the SMN Staff that drops from the Treasure Caskets in Buburimu. I've been ALL over that zone. Next thing I know, I'm at the outpost. Yeah people are all over and killing. No, I didn't check everyone. I went in, killed things and went out. I noticed Elixer never mentioned that I moved east and never came back to that side of the zone.

He asked me to stop killing the mobs. I told him, no that I'm going after the SMN Staff. Imediately, Elixer jumps to a GM threat. I told him "Go ahead, if it's yellow..." They won't do anything. Then I left.

Bottom line: Elixer missed a small (small) handful of mobs and I moved to another part of the zone.

No, I wasn't apologetic. Elixer is rude. /sigh /slap etc. before even saying anything. Then when he does it's right to GM threats. so fuck him.

This is nothing like the Anester incident where he was persistantly monopolizing the Tonberries.

Don't be preposterous, things like that neeeever happen.

I'm banking you were 'more-so' in the right. Never a great solution being a dick but sometimes situations call for it.

Judging by your admittance in the Anester flame,

I felt kinda bad about it but vindicated none-the-less. He was putting on an aire of "I don't care, look at this guy who can't take all of the toneberries." I can tell it was getting to him though.

I was an ass to him in response but pulled back a bit and tried to work with him. If he just let me have that one little mob, he would've had a happier day.

You don't seem to lack reason.

Elixer avoided posting in the fb that MAY have been bc he/she didn't have the gull to debate this with you or others. Wanted only the recognition of posting a warning a bailing.

Who knows, I'm speculating.

I think the flames should somehow be merged..

Reading over the posts here and in the other thread that Duffman apparently started.. Not trying to sound 'good' or 'bad' or anything, but merely explaining my thoughts on it..
When I asked if he would stop killing enemies that people (not just myself) were exp'ing off of and got an instantaneous 'no', it felt to me that Duffman was an inconsiderate person that seemed to not care at all about others trying to enjoy the game. Now, I did read over the policies on POL's web site that 'Consistently depriving other players of the chance to enjoy combat over an extended period of time.' is considered to be disruptive behavior. I had not known how long Duffman had been there, but given the apparent stance on him fighting enemies in areas that people were exp'ing in, I did say that I was tempted to call a GM for being problematic about not allowing others the ability to fight enemies at their own pace and not at the pace of spawn times.
When told to 'go screw' and to 'piss off', I was not exactly very content with such a response and felt as though Duffman was intent on not just going after the Pestle from the caskets but also to make things difficult for people in the zone. But, that was my personal assumption at the time. Was it my intent to make myself sound good? No. Perhaps could I have asked why he would not stop? Yes, but given the short 'no' response with nothing afterwards, it sounded to me that he was killing monsters without reason and just to make things harder on players there exp'ing - hence the GM statement so rapidly. I did notice that Duffman, after a while, had stopped coming around the area and eventually left Buburimu. However, it was not my priority to continuously watch for him - but rather for me to gain experience. After a while, I got curious and did a /sea and noticed he was no longer there. I did assume, after not seeing him in the areas near the entrance from Tahrongi, that he began to farm the enemies in the larger section. I suppose the point I'm getting at is that rather than a simple 'no', I much more would've been understanding that if I had gotten a response when I first said 'please stop killing monsters that people are exping on' (the first time was in /say, so it's possible it was filtered and not heard), and if said response was that he was going after the casket staff, this whole thing would not have occured. Instead, since he did not respond to my /say, I assumed he was ignoring me and was intent on just killing the monsters to his heart's content at the expense of others gaining levels.
All in all, from what it looks like... looking at it from a third party view, it was a misunderstanding on both parts - in that I myself assumed that his quick and short 'no' response was that he was killing enemies for no reason and that Duffman perhaps believed that I was a short-tempered player. Looking at it from my viewpoint, well.. I think I've stated it. Hopefully, this post will put a quick end to this 'flame', albeit it wasn't intended to be such.
I admit fault for jumping to conclusions initially based on lack of response to my /say and from the 'no' response. As a result, I do apologize, Duffman, for misunderstanding your purpose being there. I do suppose that rather than saying to please stop, I could have asked 'why' instead. As for being 'he', please don't assume. ;) Yes, I have a bit of a temper, but only when I feel something isn't right. ;.;
