Playoffs

[Excim]

Well, my hockey playoffs are over. We won the game 3-1. Our finishing record was 28-14-3-1. (24 wins, 14 losses, 3 ties, 1 loss in overtime)

I got to hold the Cup. I also got a trophey of my own too, for Best Defenseman in the Playoffs. So, I got invited to go play in California this fall in a kind of All Star game, for teams around North America to compete in. I've never been to Cali, this is going to be great!

Screw the NHL. I may have never made it anyways, but now I won't have to even worry about it. There will be many scouts from the European leagues there. A scout from the German team Assat has been talking to our coach, I hope he notices me. Maybe then I can join the ranks of the EU players in FFXI.

High hopes... high hopes...

Grats man, I wish I had the talent to continue in Hockey but the simple truth is, with my build and overall skill in skating on ice, I'd be a joke. I did play deck hockey, similar to the Cali Beach leagues if you ever seen those. Basically 3 wheel skates, ball, on a nice smooth resin rink. It was a lot of fun, the only sport I ever got into, but in the end I just ran out of leagues I could join. With college and work, I have no time to join any of the adult leagues around, and even those you hafta pay like 3 grand a year to be in. In the end, it's good to hear you are doing what you love to do, and being successful in it. Good luck in Germany.
