wishful thinking but not going to happen. Halo is the equivalent to Mario, it's not going to end up on another system.

I never said it was.. I just said it seems like it'd be a smart move if they wanna make more money XD releasing it a year or so later than the system it was intended for originally... I still am not entirely sure why nintendo never did do that with Zelda :P *shrugs*

Because it's owned by Nintendo and they're not about to support a competing product?

because they don't like more money? ya... genius! After a year's time most who are going to buy the system and the game are going to.. so releasing it at that time for other consoles opens up more money to them.. it just seems.. good business-wise

they should prolly release Halo 3 on the PS3 but only a year or so after it has been out on X-Box 360. It would bring in more money, which is what MGS 2 did, released on PS2, when everyone (pretty much) who was gonna buy the PS2 version, they released it for X-Box and more bought it who didn't have a PS2 prolly and wanted to play it. It just seems.. logical.
like I said, that's wishful thinking, not fact.
Bungie is back my Microsoft and I'm unsure if Halo is owned by just Bungie or Microsoft. But the point is, despite your logic, they would probably stay with a company that fully supports the company and their properties.

it's not wishful thinking cause it's nothing I wish for.. I couldn't care less if it is released on another system, therefor it's not wishful thinking.. I just mean it seems smarter if they wanted to make more money from the product :P

Yes, more money, but only in the short term. Selling one of the biggest gaming franchises in the history of gaming on a competing console would just increase your competition, meaning you'll get less money. If people know they can get Zelda on multiple consoles, they might not buy a Nintendo console, which means they won't buy any other Nintendo games; that's less money for Nintendo. Since Zelda is a first-party franchise, Nintendo's profits would be maximized by keeping it on their consoles. If it was third-party, then multi-platform is a good idea, larger player base so more money, but for first party, single platform is the way to go.

perhaps.. but they could probably release it one time if they wanted, and claim they'll never do it again *shrugs* it's hard to exactly forsee things.. even if the game came on another system I'm sure many would still buy their systems.. or was that part of the downfall of Sega? I was never entirely sure why sega died as it did since the dreamcast was a nice system.. hehe

Hideous Phillips CD-I Zelda games notwithstanding...

I don't think this backwards-compatibility thing is going to hurt the PS3 very much, especially if it's mostly confined to audio problems. Still, I wish more Xbox games were playable on the 360, because I've already been burned on a few games I wanted to buy that aren't compatible.

Does PC count as another system?

I never said it was, I said that was the RUMOR, just like it's a RUMOR that MGS4 and FFXIII will be on 360 :P there's been nothing saying those games will be officially.. that's what I was pointing out, that you brought a rumor, I pointed it was only a rumor, gave another example of a rumor :P but it would be dumb.. they should prolly release Halo 3 on the PS3 but only a year or so after it has been out on X-Box 360. My idea of a rumor is the fact that it has been in negotiations, not just a thrown in the air idea that will never happen. There is a difference.

I don't remember reading about any negotiations between konami nor Sony with microsoft about MGS4 or FFXIII respectively.. *shrugs* so that was my own ignorance of the matter. I had heard that MGS4 could run on XBox 360 but I've heard nothing of negotiations yet :P

you act like systems dont have bugs, has there ever been a 1st generation system that has not had bugs(why I never buy on release.) This system going have more bugs due to sony rushing to get it out before xmas spree. Also it the most advance system on the market.

Well, seeing as how Lanien is in the industry somewhat, it's not hard to believe that he would hear things that you don't.
