I don't really care when it's released.
When it is, and after it drops in price at least once, I'll pick one up and be done with it.

Same goes for all te "next gen" stuff...No rush. I'm just here for the enjoyment. All the other crap is corporate battling and BS. Let them do their thing.
 
I didn't expect it, yet I'm not really all that surprised that it did get delayed. Ah well, I have a good patience. I'm not bothered by it.
 
i was confused why they wernt releasing it near christmas in the first place.

considering the fact I won't pick PS3 up untill I find a game I like on it (like Final Fantasy or other cool games that don't exist on another platform) I don't really care as I mostly play FFXI anyway <.<;
 
No, I don't think it will be released on time. Sony never does, never will.

On a different note. Who thinks they PS3 will be made to replace? What I mean is everyone I know has had to buy at least two PS2 becuase their's no longers reads movies, and games.

Granted, I've had mine for probably four years, and am just not experiencing problems, but they are exactly the same problems my friends have had.

First it will quit reading certain movies, then all movies, then certain games, and evenually all games as well, rendering the thing useless. If I didn't play FFXI on it it would soon be nothing more than a paper weight.

I think I'll wait not only for the price to drop, but also to see how many defects pop up in the first half year of consumer usage.

As long as it's not as faulty as the 360, I'm happy. I wasn't expecting it to release in november... but I'm not suprised, either.
 
Even after it finally releases, I'm still gonna wait a good bit to make sure any 'problems' after release, are dealt with.

This thing is getin pre-order for me. And since its already a delayed release, the chance of Bugs is low. 360 was released to early to be on the market for christmas, and wasnt quite finished yet.

qft, delays = good, gives devs more time to fix things. For all we know, they discovered an overheating problem like Microsoft has, and instead of releasing anyway to make the deadline, they're going "Oh shi--!" and delaying to fix it.

Speaking of pre-order, I should probably get around to that. >.>

yes. Will play at minimum PS2 games, and i'm 90% sure it'll do PS1 games too.
 
If PS2 could play PS1 games, then i sure hope that PS3 could handle games from the former, but you know these crazy companies theses days...
 
sony is pretty good at backwards compatability :P and I wanna pre-order a PS3 O.O wonder if Game Stop can do that for me now.. hmm

PS3 was suppost to be released in Japan this spring and then to the US in Novemeber... yay another 360-like fun season... fuck you Sony


anyways, there are talks about the system being pushed back for the US until next year at spring. I think the release in japan has also been delayed. As for it coming out on time, no I don't think so
 
I'll still be buying 1 for MGS4, whether it releases this year or next, I could care less about the 360 at this point in time. I've still got a shitload of ps2 games to play this year, and next year(GoW2, 1 example of a next year title).
