PS3 PlayStation Network game releases

*dances a jig* woot!

Sweet. I'd better get my ass in gear and finish FF8. My diversion into Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2 was a long one.

Update: Elemmire, you'll like this headline for the Joystiq article about the impending release: "No cloud, nor squall shall hinder Final Fantasy IX's release to PSN."

XD funny

I still play the PS1 version regularly, but good news for those who don't have it.
Though being able to bring it with me on my PSP is sexy, I have way too many actual portable games to play lol.

I played through the first few minutes of Final Fantasy 9 to remind myself how good it is. I'm looking forward to having the portable version, and I'm hoping they release it before I go on vacation so I can take it along.

Joystiq is reporting that Square Enix is also bringing Threads of Fate to PSN. I've never played it before. Anyone know if it's any good?

Never played Vagrant Story. Always wanted to.

I also always wanted to play Alundra.

Hope FF9 shows up soon. I just started the fourth disc of FF8, so it won't take long to finish once I get off my ass and start playing it again. Alan Wake was a big distraction from that goal. lol

I finally beat Final Fantasy 8 this morning, but no luck on getting FF9 in this week's update. Instead, we finally get an aggressive push from Sony to sell more PSP Go units. They're dropping the prices of some titles to $10 and a few of the bigger titles to $20 (finally time to buy LittleBigPlanet, I think). Looks like the PSP Go will be offered with a voucher for three free downloadable games: LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. I applaud Sony, but also have to ask what took them so damned long. This deal should've been offered in North America at launch.

PS3
Tecmo Bowl Throwback ($9.99)
Planet Mini-Golf ($9.99) (demo)
PS1: N2O Nitrous Oxide ($5.99)

PSP
Mini: Telegraph Crosswords ($2.99)

New Prices:
Now $10: Ape Escape: On the Loose; Hot Shots Golf Open Tee; SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo; Twisted Metal: Head On;
Now $20: LittleBigPlanet PSP; Resistance: Retribution; Secret Agent Clank; Gran Turismo PSP

Peace Walker, folks. Peace Walker. What else do you need? The price of Dissida: Final Fantasy has been lowered to $20, so I might have to buy that.

PS3
Death Track: Resurrection ($14.99)
Joe Danger ($14.99)
Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone ($8.99)
Voodoo Dice ($9.99) (demo)

Hm not really sure what's taking so long with releasing ffix...its kind of getting to me :(

It's about time. I was starting to get antsy. I've only played through this game one time, back when it first came out. I don't think it'll replace FF8 in my affections, but I'm willing to let it take a shot.

Coming this Tuesday, FFIX to the PSN nearest you for $9.99
Grats to all waiting for it, I'll hold on picking it up if at all as I still have my PS1 copy and I have way too many actual portable games to play to put it on my PSP.

Personally, I'm waiting for Vagrant Story, Threads of Fate, Xenogears, Brave Fencer Musashi and Chrono Cross.
