PLD retirment somewhat :( :)

ima 63 PLD i got really into PLD a while back and pretty much got into the game so much and lvled PLD so quick and what not and i love PLD its a great job and so fun but once i hit 63 my job just seemed boring like i didint like tanking anymore i lost my touch for PLD so then i took up MNK and i love it lol but recently alot of LS members have decided to start lvling PLD and ive been helping them alot and its starting to bring back that good ol spark has anyone felt this way about a job they have leveled? to were it just gets you burnt out of it that you dont like it anymore and what happened afterwords?
 
My first job years back was PLD, took it to 60 odd ( i forget exactly now) and quit. I just got burnt out on it.

I then proceeded to level RNG,WAR,NIN and BRD all to 75 before going back somewhat recently and taking PLD to 75. Was alot better after the long break, Marid PT's made PLD fun again.
 
Right between the "<" and "?" key is a period. The big giant key at the bottom of the keyboard is the spacebar. Always follow the period with the space.

You will return to PLD, fear not. Took RDM to 60, lost intrest and picked up Samurai. Lost intrest in SAM at 41/42 and took up Ninjar. Lost intrest in Ninjar at 52, went back to RDM. RDM sits at 71 now, and will be finished soon, most likley leading me back to SAM. Just don't be lame and sell all your PLD shit. You'll regret it when you get tired of auto-attacking and go back to PLD.

Now that I think of it, I took WHM to 60, lost intrest and started RDM. See, it happens so often that you can't even remember your own intrest-loss progression.
 
Originally took MNK to 30, but after having seen so many PLDs not know to voke every 30 seconds, thus allowing the mages in our party to get hate and die made me determined to go unlock the job and take it to 75.... and so I did.

I would go back to MNK but currently my bf is lvling it, and I decided to try out another job that would hopefully get us some nice invites... which is RDM (Really enjoy it)

I haven't ever gotten "burned out" from a job though, for some reason i've been lucky to lvl the jobs I enjoy from the start.

Now would be a good time to lvl your PLD though, there are a few nice pieces of equipment that have come with the new expansion, and with some of the new abilities that SE has added to PLD, you might find yourself enjoying it even more than before.
 
I actually lost interest in war recently, for some reason. Possibly due to overshadowing it with whm, a job I take equally high interest in.

But I bought a new great axe and now I'm giddier than a japanese schoolgirl at a Hello Kitty convention. It's the simple things that make you smile...

I leveled war to 30 unlocked pld and leveled it to 75 only stopping to farm and level sub. Then I took ninjar to 75. I haven't leveled any jobs since (except drk to 17). I guess I just love tanking D: I never got bored or anything.

lol at start I thought this was going be anouther one them. I cant get party im quiting pld threads. Playing 1 job for long period of time will get you burnt out no matter the job. Though It alway nice to rekindal a job after awhile.

Berserker's. Been wanting one for about a year and a half, just recently became very affordable for some reason.
 
I always wanted to lvl DRK, Cecil was always my favorite FF character from back in the SNES days. The happiest day in my FF career was dinging 30 on WAR and going directly to Bastok to unlock DRK. I didnt really stop for anything but subjobs, then I lvled PLD to 60 for the snoll fight, then I lvled WAR to 57 since I had a bunch of sharable gear, then I quit the game. Now I am exping PLD to finish it off while I make money back to reequip my DRK and WAR.

I took RDM to 50 recently and now I'm bored as heck with it and not for the first time either. i'm currently levelling WAR (because i just love G.Axes and Allumine Haubert lol) but I know I'll go back to RDM, the love will always be rikindled after watching someone or something to do with it that really floats your boat and you'l be back on it quicker than i typed this out! always happnes to me, it's why I'm levlling WAR, some JP WAR with a G.Axe was pwning everything in my pt a few weeks ago and it just made me go WAR instantly!
 
look at the main jobs at my sig

Rdm- Currently lving to 60 or 61 to wear A. mantle and to be put on backburner, while i lv blm and whm

Smn- I never put enough fame or time down to unlock others and even though I beat Ramuh and Shiva both on second try I'm still getting owned by that Ifrit. I plan to lv this after bst or with depending if I die too many times on bst

Bst- It took me a long time to figure out how to play bst, Ive found a nice way that works for me so it will rise...slowly to 60 and besides after seeing Kinkerbelle out do Nogard in helping me with cropolis coffer I was motivated to take it up after that

My first job after getting warrior to 30 was Paladin. Fun job, but since I was only a casual player back then, and I was an asshole to most of my friends I never had time to get all my AF and ended up quitting. Hocked all my gear and leveled ranger with a level 12 Ninja sub all the way to 40-ish, got off my ass and leveled ninja. I stopped ranger at 60 to gear up, which took about 6months since the game was pretty dull then. I hit 74 or 75 and shortly after I got nerfed. Oh bother.
 
I did the same thing. Played PLD till 63, quit, and leveled MNK to 75. I then leveled PLD to 75 right after.

It's a nice job, but you can only get hit only so much before you wanna put some damage on the boards for yourself.

Good luck, but i hope you come back to PLD. It's so great and useful to be able to change between tank and DD in this game.
