While trying to party in Crawler's Nest today, we came to some trouble trying to find a camp with some actual mobs in it. This was due to people post level 35 being Power Leveled by various other High Level mages. This annoyed me and the various other actual parties that were trying to level because whether trying to level on Nest Beetles or Soldier Crawlers, there was always some people being PL'd and taking all the mobs.

As most of you know, in these areas it is usually hard enough to get a steady flow of mobs and trying to chain without people raping the mobs there. I'm just wondering, Are people really so lazy and bad at their jobs that they need to be Power Leveled post 35 (post dunes level even -_-) and wreck it for everyone else in the area? It's kinda sad.

Patience.
It doesn't exist in XI. People will pl and get pl'd to hasten things as much as possible.
I mean, if you have 2 jobs to 75.. do you REALLY wanna grind back up? Makes sense to just pl.
I personally, hate pting pre 50. However, to learn your job, you should.
So.. meh.

I agree - I've been able to get away with leveling my NIN from 25-40, BLM from 1-20 and my THF from 15-25 (and soon to 37) on my second account all through 2-boxed powerleveling. In all of those cases, I really have no intention of taking the jobs past SJ levels/BCNM levels, so I see no point in 'learning a job' that is going to stay below 50 likely forever. It's simpler and more efficient to get 4-5k/hr+ leveling off of EM-low T mobs solo than slog through shitty rank 2 parties.

Now what they were doing in Crawler's (especially at 35) I have no idea. There are plenty of nice camps that no XP parties normally go to with quality, easy to kill EM-T mobs to chain. Go find a nice secluded part of Yhoator and chain mandies. Hit Sea Serpent Grotto for Ironshells and bones. Carpenter's, Lufaise and Misereaux are all great spots for powerleveling to 37-40+ and you never bother a single group.

People with multiple jobs to 75 are probably the ones you'd want off separate getting powerlevelled. They're most likely to come to your low level party in a nation aketon and a santa hat and excuse their gimpiness with "lack of storage space". It's probably for the best.

Most people with multiple jobs at 75 realize that parties before 20 just aren't worth it, you can get better exp solo without a PL, all you need is some au lait or juices. The few jobs that are an exception to this are mage jobs that really have no gear, that's why you see people wearing 1 def aketon instead of the "uber gear" for that level, a 3 def robe.

And as long as they're solo or off being pl'd in a non-standard party scenario, everything is just dandy. Bring that gimpiness to a party and that's when there's a problem. The same rules that applied on one's first run to 75 apply to all subsequent runs. If such isn't the case, than we should be spreading the word to all 1st time players that they needn't buy equipment before Qufim. And if Dunes pt's were bad before, they'd suddenly get much worse. We've all complained about that horribly equipped dunes member. We shouldn't emulate him.

Crawler do sucks, but I level in Altep Desert or in Jungle somewhere, <3 those area, not in a cave, all cramp out together with some major lag :P

Sorry Faule... Piroko and I will no longer go kill Lizards in the crawler's nest out of boredom. ;p

Highest person I have PL'd was Malchiah cause he was all like, "ZOMG I WANT PENTA THRUST." The guy had like some little amount like 1k TNL. But we did all of that in an area where nobody was partying (i.e. could have done CN for that but usually it is party central).

There are alternative spots for PLing parties. And if they have a whm or something, most of the time teleporting to those areas is not a problem.

I have done a few PLing things but most of the time it was I was bored and had little time to do anything else, the party had no whm/healer, etc. If I have a mule within the party level's range, I go volunteer to play whm if time permits. Strange enough, using the mules works almost as well as having a PLer. :/ Even been asked by the PL to stop healing a few times. Then it is 26 club melee fun time! miss miss miss! Although, there are certain levels where most people do well without powerleveling. Crawler's nest seems a little high for that kind of thing.

don't think lv.10-40 will be too high for pling lol I think 50-75 will be a major problem if they still need pler at that stage XD
