I sent a PM and like 10 minutes later tried to send another one... but it gives me that error "This forum requires you to wait 60 seconds between PMs, please wait 27680 seconds before attempting to send"

Anyone else having this issue?

Duh! The rest of the forum members have all decided to block you both!!! My idea of course. :biggrin:

Here's what happened, far as I can see.

This morning, the clock was fixed so that it matched the correct hour and minute as real-time clocks. However, they were 12 hours ahead. So a post made at 8:52am according to RL clocks, actually had a post time of 8:52pm. Technically, we were posting in the future.

The server admins realized this and fixed it. Just before they fixed it, you sent your PM.

So now QCDN thinks you sent a PM 12 hours from now. QCDN also requires you wait 60 seconds after sending one PM, to send another. You'll have to wait 12 hours and 60 seconds until you can send another.

i wish someone would have told us in advanced warning.
 
If they knew what was going to happen, they probably could have. With web servers they cannot take a rig down for simple maintenance like this, it was a minor side-effect to fixing a bug we've been complaining about for over a year.

In 12 hours everything will be back to normal, and we'll have a working clock. Minor price to pay in my books.

I agree. Just expressing a wish that there could have been warning.. Agreed?

It would have been nice, absolutely. I wasn't trying to sound like a prick. Just expressing details from a sysadmin's point of view.
