I'm having fun with it. Its a great blast-to-the-past for me.

Anyone else got this game yet? I picked up the Diamond version, and my roommate has the Pearl version... I also got my old "FireRed" to upload my old Pokemon when I get the chance.

I'm waiting for Alyada and Dayner to get ahold of this because I wanna whomp on 'em when "Battle Revolution" comes out on Wii on June 25th.

It'll be a while before Dayner gets ahold of his copy, though... He's in Saudi Arabia... >_>

But I've already got a friend code if anyone wants to battle or trade or something...

I bought the Pearl version today, and it's pretty sweet so far. I look forward to many weeks of enjoyment with this game... and eventually draining my GBA cartridges dry by transferring all the old Pokemon I've caught over to it.

I'll post my friend code ASAP.
 
I'll try out the rom before I decide to buy it. I played through the originals but could never get into anything else.

I added you to my pal pad, Devi. We should start an official Pokemon thread. I started one on my linkshell's forum using this format:

Sound like something that could be done in the Wii forums? I'd maintain it if it'd be a problem.

Go ahead. I have no problem with it. My character name is "Devi". I use a pretty "varied" range of Pokemon. Back in the "Red & Blue" days on Gameboy, I was a "Psychic" type user.

Its kinda lonely digging up the bottom mines of the Sinnoh region and I'm the only one in it.

BTW, added you as well.
 
What all does the multiplayer allow you to do besides voice chat and one-on-one battles?
 
Trade Pokemon. Cook up Poffins together (Pastries that raise Pokemon's stats in beauty contests). Go on a dungeon-crawling Mining expedition beneath the Sinnoh region (where the game takes place), and use a Pickaxe and Sledgehammer to compete with your friends in digging up valuable treasure in an expansive instanced dungeon. Doodle in a multiple-person drawing board in the Union room (Imagine "Picto-Chat" but everyone drawing on the same board). Also, battles aren't limited to one-on-one. There are "Doubles" and "Tag Team" battles too, to get more than just two people in on one battle.
 
Awesome. It sounds like it's well worth the money just for the multiplayer.

wow so you can trade online. Thats pretty interesting. Maybe I can get this for me and my gf.
 
Yeah I'm interested in this whole online thing. I haven't gotten into pokemon since yellow came out. I played the newer ones briefly but at that time I was just bored of them from playing red, blue, and yellow. May have to give this one a shot.
 
Well, D&P have a lot more to it than the older ones so I'd definitely recommend it. ^^ especially if you enjoy throwing a Bidoof at a rock. (You'll see what I mean.)
 
I should really get on with getting the third badge. 19 hours logged and I haven't even entered the gym. Been doing so much other stuff from leveling, to amassing berries for when I can finally make Puffin, to playing in the Underground trying to get some sweet items. Dug up a hold item that boosts Water-type moves yesterday. A friend of mine got a fossil from there as well.

That hold item is currently being held by my buddy

I have just about every mon available that I've seen, and they're all atleast level 15. So thats a big reason why my times so high pre-third gym. The only exception is Wurmple and it's evolutions. Pretty retarded you cannot catch a Wurmple under the level it has to achieve to evolve to silcoon or cascoon. So that evolutionary path is waiting for when I open up breeding. Already caught a male and female wurmple, just not actually leveling a wurmple until I hatch one.

I got 7 Gym Badges already. Kind of slacking on my 8th, because I'm chasing MESPRIT all over the Sinnoh region. (One of the three legendaries that randomly hops around the whole region like Entei, Suicune, and Raikou in Gold / Silver).

I caught DIALGA, the Master of controlling Time--the one on the box / title art for Diamond.

BTW, just do what I did, Skaw... Catch Silcoon or Cascoon in "Eterna Forest". Silcoon's in Diamond and Cascoon is in Pearl. I dug up some Fossils underground, too.

So far, my status...

Seen 119 pokemon... Obtained 78.

I just need to catch Mesprit--

Oh screw it!! I'm not going to chase that bastard around and simply HOPE to catch him. I'll just beat the game, and transfer my "FireRed" Pokemon over. They have Master Balls. I'll just send them with the Master Balls and use those...

I don't have time to chase that bastard around everywhere.
 
I have six badges so far. I've seen 99 and obtained 48. I'm diverting to Iron Island to see what kind of goodies and training I can pull off while I'm there.

Man... These guys are even TOUGHER than the original Elite Four in Kanto!

I use two primary Pokemon. Leo, my Lv. 57 INFERNAPE, and Kimba, my Lv. 59 LUXRAY.

... The first two of the Elite four use Bug types and Ground types... Ugh...

The Bug Types tore me up hardcore... And then I was devastated by the Ground types...

A Fire / Fighting type and an Electric type versus a Ground type... How do you think I did? <=/

I cleared the eighth and final gym this evening. Time for some Victory Road training of my own so I can take on the Elite Four....
 
Picked it up this morning with my boyfriend, he got pearl and I got diamond :)

Anyway, dont have the wifi adapter and dont actually have internet these days (<3 school comp lab or id be completely in the dark) so it'll be awhile before I get to vs. battle ppl online. Im hoping the local area wireless that the DS has will work to play with the bf, and that I dont need some cable or adapter or something. 12 minutes logged, just about ready to catch my first Sinnoh Pokemon which will be that pidgeon looking thing probably. Wish me luck.
