Pokemon Diamond & Pearl

How many commercial games does it run?

Last I checked, no DS emulator could boot any, and I checked after this thread was started. >_>

Oh, no$... lol. That's not really supposed to be a public release, as I recall. The No$ emulator is supposed to be a commercial release in and of itself...

Torrents are fun. That's how I got ahold of the only decent working TurboGraphx-16 Emulator that some dude who homebrewed it wanted $30 for it from everyone who wanted it.

Well, I've beaten the Elite Four now in one tough showdown.

Just me, My Lv. 63 Luxray and Infernape. My Lv. 47 Dialga... about 20 Full Restores and 15 Revives...

Crappiest part about going through the elite four that way? Consider the fact that most of the Pokemon used by the Elite Four are between Lv. 55 and 66... About 90% of them know the move "Earthquake" and frequently use it... And my two currently strongest pokemon are an Electric type and a Fire/Fighting type... Not good!

Anyway. I got the National Dex now...And access to the GTS in Jubilife city.

At the moment, the GTS is kinda pointless for me. Because about 90% of the Pokemon I'm searching for... the trainers want Lucario, Palika, Mew, or Deoxys.

And I ain't givin' up my Mew and Deoxys.

Plus, you can only search for pokemon you've already seen in your Pokedex. Hmm...

Anyway, I went to the Pal Park. It's kinda fun, I guess. I got some of my old Pokemon from FireRed back. Namely my "Ditto"--Which I use strictly for breeding purposes--but the "you can only use the Pal Park once every 24 hours" rule kinda bites. But its still fun.

Well if you could transfer all your Pokemon in one shot than well... I think it'd be a bit much. Everything in moderation. ^^

Weak. My first Shiny is a Kricketune. On the plus side, it's not much lower than my original Kricketune. It's not that Kricketune is a bad mon.. theres just many better. :( Shiny Ponyta would've been sweeeeeeeeet.

Good luck. The Elite Four are pretty dickish this time around. Stock up on Revives, and tons of recoveries.

thank you for the hint but i think my pokemon can beat them

.. i cant wait till i can start EV train my pokemon >_>

I picked this up last night. Was aiming for Diamond (to go with my friend's Pearl) but all they had was Pearl, and I'd already delayed picking it up long enough.
I have the ability to go fight the first gym leader. I must say, the turtle and bud pokemon (Suggestive and Bud Light, can't remember their original names >.<) are a godsend for helping me train my other pokemon in the caves. One absorb usually takes out any rock pokemon I come across. Still looking for an onyx though. Caught one then forgot to save!

Is there a trick to getting the trade place to work? I go in there now and the room is completely empty.

Do I have to be at a certain point in the game to get it to work?

Thanks.

The "Union Room" and the Underground Mines of Sinnoh are both Wireless. Whereas the Battle Tower and the GTS Building in Jubilife are Wi-Fi.

Two different things. When it says "Launching Wireless network", its searching for other Nintendo DS units localized within about a 40 ft. radius of you in real life. The "Wi-Fi" is the Global one over the net.

So i just picked the game up today, Diamond mostly because I would have to deal from an onslaught of roommate and gf about getting the "pinkish" one.
But I'm liking the graphic, very old school, and just taking my time. It looks like this time throught all the pokemon are getting basterdized names:
Starly = Birdflew
Bidoo f= Lemiwinks
Kricketot = Tator
Chimchar = Chimpanzo (idk just random)
Shinx = Shank
Friend code to come in near future.

I'm thinking about getting this and a DS in the next few months. I used to play the old games and Ruby and Sapphire with my brother. I have Pokemon Box and Sapphire atm. When I get Diamond for the DS do I need to have another GBA to trade to myself or will it work from the GBA slot on the DS? I need to know this because I don't have a gameboy or a Gamecube for the GBA player.

The game will read from what ever old pokemon GBA game is inserted in the DS slot. The GBA can't link with a DS anyway--The DS has no Multiplayer Wire Port, while the GBA and GB does.

However, in Diamond, to trade with previous Pokemon games, you're going to need to beat the game (defeat the Elite Four atleast once) and obtain the National Pokedex from Professor Oak.
