Pokemon Diamond & Pearl

Question about the Silver/Gold pokemon
Are they just scattered across the GBA games and remakes or, more specifically the starters, found in the DS game.
Cause I'm itching for a mudkip.

The Starter pokemon? I don't know. I never played Ruby/Sapphire, and I know they're not in Diamond/Pearl, and FireRed/LeafGreen. However, a good majority of FireRed/LeafGreen, Gold/Silver/Crystal, and Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon appear in the wild in Diamond/Pearl.

Some appear at night. Others in Honey Trees. Others need to be fished up with the Super Rod, or can be caught in the "Great Marsh" (Diamond/Pearl's "Safari Zone" type area) after getting the National Pokedex.

Some will even spawn in the wild based off of certain technical factors in the game.

Like for example. I'm playing Pokemon Diamond, and I can go catch a wild Electabuzz and Elekid in the wild. Why? My DS happens to have a "FireRed" GBA Game in the DS's GBA Slot. Diamond and Pearl acknowledges this and makes some FireRed-exclusive Pokemon spawn in my game by detecting the cartridge.

Mudkip is a starter from Ruby/Sapphire, btw. The Water-based one.

The Water Starter from Gold/Silver was Totodile. The little blue Alligator.

Snowpoint pissed me off. I've been too lazy to level any fire Pokemon (I have a Chimcharr, just don't wanna level low stuff til I can PL everything on Victory Road). I beat it, but the gym leader wiped out a good 4/6 of my team. Not fun >.<

Pokedex Completion: Seen 303. Obtained 202.

I'm on my way up! Dug up a "Helix Fossil" and "Dome Fossil" underground so I got an Omanyte and Kabuto. I almost have all the starter Pokemon from all the games... I should get Torchic tomorrow, which leaves Totodile, and Chikorita as the only two I don't have.

I picked up a Japanese Starmie and bred it for a Staryu. Bred a Meowth, Drowzee, and some others.

Flooding the GTS building with a litter of Charmanders in the hopes some Japanese players will give up the Pokemon I want.

Also... Anyone have Entei, Raikou, or Latios? (Not Latias, but Latios)

T'would be much appreciated.

The Gold/Silver starters and legendaries are in Pokemon Colosseum for the Gamecube. Once you beat the game, you can import them to the GBA versions, and from there to Diamond/Pearl.

I went looking around for more info on the G/S pokemon and found out a lot of them can be found in Emerald. Like after you beat the elite four or get the national pokedex you get the option to pick another starter from G/S starters.
But, maybe I'll just get Colosseum so I don't have to go through the hassel of playing R/S again. Does the AI prison rape you in this one like it did in Stadium 2?

My goal for Diamond/Pearl is to own one of every Pokemon. I renamed my boxes "001-030," "031-060," etc. I plan to have the boxes stuff with each stage of evolution, etc. There's enough room for all the Pokemon (and a full page of Unowns) and a few extra.

I finally dusted off my copy of Pokemon Colosseum so I can finish off my starter collection.

Unfortunately, I sold off my GBA SP, even though I do own a wire to connect from GBA to Gamecube. I can't get the starters off Pokemon Colloseum like I wanted to... Or Entei and Raikou for that matter. And I just remembered I DID catch them on that game too. Mind lending me a helping hand here, Hali?

I dun caught me a Palkia. Not as epic a battle as I'd hope it'd be (Freakin last two Team Galactic fights were worse) but definitely a "fuck yeah!" moment when my dark ball clicked.
On to the 8th badge....

There's good news and bad news.

The bad news is I finally figured out where I was in the storyline for Pokemon Colosseum, and it'll take me a little while to get all the Gold/Silver legendaries and share them.

The good news is the trading board at GameFAQs came through for me and I got my grubby little mitts on the Gold/Silver starters. I'll breed up a batch for the ones who want 'em.

Shards give you weather TMs when you have enough, fossils are turned into pokemon at the museum in Oreburgh.
