An authentication error has occurred, what's that suppost to mean? ; ;
 
I dunno, but I just got kicked offline, and can't get back in if that helps.
 
i keep getting the wierdest thing when trying to log in.
Pol checks version, password all good. gets to the "checking mail, friends list, updating friends list" ect. All good. Does the "X person is online" bar at the top. And then nothing happens. No icons, cant do anything. That little spinny "Loading" symbol is in the bottom, and after about 3 mins, i get POL-1363.
 
I tried calling POL and this other number, sent emails telling all these help and support people and not one can do anything about it!
 
yay, 1363 is my lucky number -.-

The website is down as well.

Havnt been able to log onto the game since crashing out about 2PM GMT. Now it's 9:52PM and I just get stuck at the Aquireing Character Data screen, before it was POL-1363 all the time. Well, people have spoken to SE from reading on allahkazam and they are just giving them bullshit blaming it on there ISP. When the problem seems to be coming from there end.... =)

I can't seem to get in, either. It just kinda stalls at "Acquiring Friendlis Data." Sometimes it goes past that and I actually get into FFXI, and promptly R0 and d/c before anything even loads (excluding the log and my little solo window)
 
Anyone else's ISP Hellsouth? (Bellsouth)

Don't worry, you aint the only one =(.
SE have been very NEGLECTFUL in this case, i'm sure they have recieved alot of complaints, they havnt even updated the site about this problem. I can't log into the services section on the POL site, might have something to with it. I've managed to get onto the game, but as soon as I hit bastok markets, I instantly R0... Hmm. IF you can... They have blamed ISP's. But people from all over the world are getting this problem. (UK)

yeah. I called my ISP, and they say nothing wrong on thier end.
I had to do ZM5-6 for a bunch of people too ~_~

Wow, there's a supprise, shaw passed the buck back to POL. They tell me that POL is blocking all IPs in the 24.xxx.xxx.xxx range for some reason. If you can tunnel your connection through your local proxy you should be able to connect. Sounds like a totally dodgy excuse to me, but just reporting what I've been told.

Found this, now if only we can find out how to "tunnel" our connection through local proxy...

Ugh, if there's a problem, leave it to friggin' Shaw to be the cause of it. I'm really unimpressed with their service thusfar. Seems POL hates it even more than I do. =P

I feel better in a sense ^^; thought it was just me... or maybe it is :|

Get an POL-1363 Content Communcation error after it checks my pass/ID, then it says loading.. then gives me that error. Hope i dont have to re-install and re-download patches... keeps telling me to check my net connection, and i was playing fine yesterday... shouldnt have to re-install.

But seems alot of people are having problems... guess im not alone ; ;
