This is happening entirely too much, and the "maintenances" that are repeatedly scheduled to "address" these problems don't seem to be doing anything.

yeah I just got owned and can't log back in...
I've been trying to update a new install of ffxi all day. Finished doing file check on 12k files and downloaded ~10 files before dc about 4 times so far. 16 files down, only 3382 left to go. Recheck same files every time....stupidest update system ever.

I think thier maintenance to fix the problem is just to turn the servers off untill the trafic dies down and then turn them on agian. It seems to be every morning latley. Anyone check the Japanese boards to see if they are getting the same problems?
Wonderful, dc on dl the last file. So now I get to spend another hour checking 12k files just to download 1 file...

This is frigging stupid. Don't they know this means the WoW people can counter our "your game has a queue, haha!" with "well your game doesn't even log you in..."
Woohoo, after 24 hours of trying to update a new install of ffxi....my update is corrupted and I have to reinstall ffxi. Worst update system ever.
Edit: And the uninstall tried to delete my windows boot files... :x

Enix needs to get a new update system like Wow Does.Update takes like 5 fucking minutes and the thing is over.They probably have rusty processors and claim to be attacked by dos or w/e.I want a damn refund
