POL issues...

Am I the only one getting this? I'm out XPing when suddenly, no R0 or anything, the game boots me giving a "server's busy" message. I try to re-login, I get a "no response from server" message.
I try to login again. "character is already logged in" message.
I try to login again. "protocol time out error."

What the hell is going on with FFXI?
 
just give it a couple of mins when the character is logged in message comes up. It needs time to reload or something like that. It prabably did some weird glitch, or mabey u got a pop up?
 
Just hopped on to check a couple mules, no problems here.

Can do Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> "ping -t google.com" and see if you're dropping a great deal of packets. Try to view a bunch of different web sites, do the pages hang or not load fully? If so seems more related to your connection becasue it isn't isolated to FFXI.

Dunno where you live but also this time of night is popular for network maintanance so they may be tinkering with things without telling anyone.
 
Playing on PS2, and all I've got open on my computer is AIM and this one page.
Also, managed to get in after 15mins and 9 errors, but of course I'm dead. Yay SE...

I was getting the server is busy one but i shut down PoL and kicked my computer then i got in.

how many computers you gone though as you seem to kick it with every problem you get

Yes, yes i am. I've made a few threads on how i suck at computers.
 
I r0 at least 10 x a day maybe more, comcast sux, i need a new internet con:(

I got this with my Linksys router, certain versions are notorious for it.

It got fried about a year ago. Even though it was dead, taking a hammer to it made me feel sooooo damn good.
 
Sorry to hafto bump this, still getting randomly kicked with a "server's busy" error, no R0 or anything. Does anyone know what the crap that is?
 
don't get me started on internet connection ><

my hard drive just recently fried on me...and now I'm trying to update xi...

my internet cuts out every hour or so...thus the update stops....
"no response from server"

....causing me to scream like an banshee and smash my fist into a wall...

....and start my update again....for the 3rd time...

so maybe 3rd time is a charm...if not, you'll be hearing back from me..
