No and if and when they ever do a windower crackdown (Which I really doubt) you will hear about it before hand. There will be warnings and postings and deadlines to stop using it. A lot of fanfare. And then they will make examples and toot their own horn telling how may many people they banned instead of the supposed ninja bans people claim to suffer cause of windower.

I doubt this will happen. Why? Because they realize far to many of their players use windower and the only direct "harmful" effect it has on the gameplay is people not paying attention cause and letting the PLD die cause they are busy watching porn instead of healing the tank or something.

I heard that WoW has a windower, unlike FFXI.
I wonder if WoW has flameboards for people not doing their job due to pron.
Just a random thought.

And? Most MMO's have a windowed mode; it was only because FFXI was made for the PS2 that there wasn't a windowed mode. This isn't a WoW vs. FFXI thread; who cares what WoW or any other MMO has.

Also, if you run windowed but maximized, it's only slightly more laggy than un-windowed.
