Well IGE probably isn't accepting gil because they don't have any accounts to take it, or they don't want what remaining accounts they have or start up to get flagged and banned too.

Either way, good riddance, people can actually start enjoying every part of the game again.

My question is did they get any of the people buying gil because they are the root of the RMT problem. If people start getting banned for buying, then maybe some of these cheaters will think twice about it.

That's what I'm wondering too, they have 4,000 cases of RMT related activity so hopefully they're dealing with buyers.

It can't be very hard to bust buyers in the act though. A friend of mine got me into the trial for Ragnarok Online, during that time he bought some currency and was permanently banned the next day.

Been telling people that story for a while, it gives hope that SE will take a strict stance towards RMT.
 
This is awesome. It has renewed my Faith in SE slightly, not a lot...

I just wish there was a way to Band the gil sellers before they get to this level again.

And what of the Botters who claim HNMs? the thread showed that some players were banded for using claim bots too. But from what i see the usually suspects are still around :(

As long as there are hacks, people will use them. Rule of Games.
 
RMT will never be stoped, its a nice hit though. RMT will forever happen, as we all know. I think someone once said "The day we stop RMT, is the day we stop Terrorists". Same goes with it'll be the day we all stop killings animals and eating them, same day racisim is gone, same day everyone follows God. Won't happen :/ The RMT will be back full blow.
