Accounts Banned (Sep. 25)

We would like to report the termination today of multiple accounts held by players involved in the usage of third-party tools or cheats, or engaged in RMT (Real Money Trading) activities.

Based on the results of our investigation, around 7,050 PlayOnline accounts were terminated while around 1,030 accounts were temporarily suspended.
Additionally, we have increased the number of mass bannings against certain PlayOnline violations in order to prevent illegal acts.

Details of the violations are as follows:

- Usage of tools that allow enhanced character movement.
August 30, Approx. 80 cases
September 5, Approx. 330 cases
September 14, Approx. 250 cases
September 21, Approx. 210 cases

- Usage of tools that circumvent game mechanics with respect to the timing of ability use, etc. in certain areas or at points where Notorious Monsters appear.
September 21, Approx. 30 cases

- Using cheats to automatically repeat a particular action.
August 30, Approx. 1,150 cases
September 6, Approx. 1,500 cases
September 12, Approx. 1,400 cases
September 19, Approx. 1,200 cases

- Gil and item exchange for real world money.
September 25, Approx. 750 casess

- Instances of areas or monster monopolization.
August 30, Approx. 100 cases
September 6, Approx. 330 cases

- Usage of synthesis and auction houses for RMT activities.
September 25, Approx. 680 casess

- Accounts from people that were previously confirmed to have RMT connections, or that had violated the user agreements but re-subscribed to PlayOnline.
September 19, Approx. 70 cases

The termination of these accounts has led to the removal of approximately 2.6 billion gil from circulation.

We would like to remind players that as well as adversely affecting game balance, the use of third-party tools or cheats can also have consequences that are not immediately obvious, such as introducing damaging viruses, and comprising the security of private account details. Usage of third-party tools will not be tolerated within FINAL FANTASY XI, and we will continue to severely penalize any players found to be in violation of the PlayOnline Member Agreement.

As we continue to ensure a fun and balanced environment for FINAL FANTASY XI, we hope that our players enjoy the game as it was intended and take care to avoid involvement in activities that violate the PlayOnline Member Agreement.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.

OH MAN. THIS DOESN'T LOOK TOO GOOD, SIR.

I'm still here O_O

anyone do a /sea "misareaux coast"!

Be careful :O they're probably gonna crack down harder next month too so they can ban stick people, then the people will be like OMFG I NEED EXPANSIONZ BAI NEW ACCONTOKGO

As much as i hate RMT the focus on banning fish bots means coral fragment will go through the roof for me... which means reraise items through the roof for you :(

I'm willing to pay more, if it means they go away.

Idc what other people think but it seems that the bot fishing coral fragment are almost non-existant now. Checking FFXIAH, I dont see players selling several stacks per day like it was the case before summer.

And yes if SE doesn't add new ways to farm this, price will probably increase because afaik you get this item mainly from chocobo digging in the desert. Since they nerfed chocobo digging, a single digger cannot get more than 5-6 per day (and that's if you are lucky ..) and half of the time you get none, or the desert is overdug -.-

I find it funny that all this "reraise" market, gorget and hairpin, has relied on fish bots to provide them materials for a long period of time (1-2 years ?).

Can't wait for coral fragment 30k a piece and reraise gorget 80k o;O

Come to think of it, 1 year ago I always sold coral fragments to npc because it was not worth putting them at AH for 15K a stack ...

Those guys have been at it non stop, I think 24/7...Wish they would leave too, I get a better drop rate on those than the ones near Megalo. :\

The materials can be farmed from Sahagin. The last times I have been there, nobody has been farming them.

I usually get 2~5 fragments per hour behind the Gold door and quite a few pearls and black pearls behind the Silver door.

Sorry if I'm giving away anyone's farming location, lol. There's already a hefty profit to be made anyway, especially if you farm the materials.

please ban Kurenae(sold acct to rmt) and those other misfits, anyone think that SE lowered drop rate on farming there? didnt seem to have as much trouble farming there last time as before the big update

You can also get fragments from clamming.
