On May 16th, 2007, FINAL FANTASY XI enters its fifth year of service.

However, we could not have made it this far without you. It is you who brings life to Vana'diel, and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.



To show our undying gratitude to the adventurers of Vana'diel, we have been working closely with the M.H.M.U. to put together this year's Adventurer Appreciation Campaign. As in previous years, moogles will be stationed in several cities passing out exciting prizes, such as giving adventurers data on their numerous exploits. Hurry over to Bastok, Windurst, or San d'Oria and be one of the first to collect the all-new anniversary ring, or a plethora of never-before seen fireworks designed especially for this year's celebration!

You know, the fact that SE said not to throw it away makes me think theres more to the ring. Maybe every game year it regains a charge(s)?
 
you just ask the mog and then tells you the stats and then you get the ring?

almost 50k fights, 543 deaths = 1.09% chance of dying. pretty good odds of life :D i think dynamis is probably half my deaths, lol. apparently i talk more than anyone else too >.>

Hopefully my mithra wont have a 4-1 death/party ration anymore. Valkurm was hell for her.
 
I doubt they would recharge it every game year. I'm betting they just don't want people abusing the 100% exp like the Empress Band and the Npc buddy.
