POL NEWS : Mog Bonanza ??? a must do event !

side question
eveyrone talks about 100mil being able to buy your way through to get whatever you want.
my question is... would LS' accept money to help people get items? often times i find people are quite adament AGAINST it.
ie.

general question, actual answers would be helpful though haha:

1. how much would a guild charge for abjurations
2. how much would a guild charge for a velocity belt camp.

especially since drops are not guarunteed, how would you pay? on a per camp basis? or for the item? and then you would also hafta pay each individual for helping you. I can see that 100 mil running down quickly.

Using Ridill as an example...a drop that happens on average once per month (numbers may be up with the much greater amount of th4's since the thf knife change) I couldn't see an LS giving it up for less than 80M. I may be well off on this, but as a LS leader I couldn't see telling the next person in line for Ridill sorry, you're going to have to wait. We sold this one. I'd be interested in hearing people still heavily involved in endgame discuss this.

Some LS's do accept money for other abj's (N.head for example) as well as blackbelt items provided no one attending the camp needs the abjs. Even then, I've heard recently of the BB items costing 4-5M, and an N.head abj could easily push 8-10 (in my mind).

v-belt you're not going to get an LS to camp it for you, that's where you have RMT involvement...which will put you in the same boat as Darth.

Those who take money I'd hope are doing this to finish off a relic, or have a few select pieces they'd want to spend it on.

We only sell what we dont need. Members always comes first. Unless it was something like an Algol or a Bahamuts Mask someone wanted to pay alot of money for. Even then it would have to be alot of money.

We been selling BB-items for like 1M and when we did sell N.head it was like 2-3M.

Ridill, Hauteclaire, Defending Ring, E.body and stuff of that magnitude is pretty much of the market.

I wish Bahamut's Staff was on the list. I'd pay well over 100 mil for that...

I'll probably take the money. But I'm not to end game yet at all, and I get levels like molasses flows uphill in winter, so the money will make the game more enjoyable than an item I won't be able to use for maybe a year or more.

Understandable...but if you're not yet 75 and haven't learned to work for your items, someone getting it at a much lower level could actually hurt their overall gaming experience. Half of the 'fun' (I know WoW players would disagree) in this game is the amount of time needed to obtain something. It gives you a reason to be proud, a sense of accomplishment.

And thanks Caerloc, that's how I assumed things still were.

There's that, too. I'd much rather have epic stories of gruesome deaths to tell when someone says "Hey, nice hat" than have to just say "Oh, yeah, I won it in a guessing game a while back."

Can we have WSM in this thread too?

WAR Body is listed twice =P (I know it's a typo, but still)
Not sure if I'd go with Ridill, Armadaberk or just flat-out get 100mil. The first two would be damn nice but I most definitely don't have the right merits and such for a sword setup, let alone the time to get said merits. Armadaberk, hm...

NEITHER DO I, MONEY IS MONEY ALWAYS:spiteful:

OFF Topic: Just a small tip for posting on msg boards.. Try to not use caps lock. It comes off like you are yelling lol.

I SHOULD TRY OUT THIS CAPS LOCK IDEA. IT LOOKS SORT OF SOOTHING.

Just kidding, but QFT @ Nycon.

SO YOU CAN HEAR ME ALL THE WAY FROM BALTIMORE. PITTSBURGH IS ABOUT 300 MILES AWAY.

Let's completely forget for a second that the servers are based in Japan and that people in NA and in Europe have a 2 second lag to everything versus them.

Now let's forget that when they camp the mobs, they have that difference in lag as an advantage. The JP either have to be stupid, not paying attention, or just unlucky with the spawn position to miss it. If we had that 2 second advantage, then the tables would be turned to us having the advantage.

oh boo whoo

It seems NA's are doing rather well for themselves, since a number of NA players have drops from Kings. Cry all you want because your gear sucks, No one cares.

King HNMs. They are the HQ versions of other HNMs that only pop once a day. So basically, you might not see one for week, and even then, getting claim is the problem. They drop abjurations which are needed to un-curse cursed gear, which is some of the best pieces of armor in the game, while also dropping other good items.

The names are King Behemoth, Nidhogg, and Aspidochelone. The lesser versions that pop every day are Behemoth, Fafnir, and Adamantoise.

Ah, thank you.

And know I know (cue G.I. Joe theme)
