BAM!

Stop the flaming people. Its a fucking graph. A little picture with some words and 2 colorful zig-zag lines on it. Nothing to blow a gasket about.

If they wanted an OOOO and and AHHHH outta me, they shoulda made a pie chart and made the biggest piece for me.

I stopped reading this thread here 'cause you made me hungry Lan, thanks. I'm have to go find some pie...

It's easy to make graphs look really misleading by the scale you use on either axis. The numbers in the text sorta kinda match up to the graph though, even though the graph is clearly exaggerated to make it look like they are more successful at what they are attempting to do than they currently are. Making misleading graphs is fun though, we spent a week or two doing that in one of my CS classes in college, haha.

Considering the Y axis was months, and the text in the article talked about hte number of account holders, and the different graphs stated just that, you can assume that the X axis was accounts/people. That's quite easy to assume if you even bothered reading the text at all instead of just looking at the cute picture and then jump to conclusions that SE sucks.

I mean, wtf else would it mean? number of times GM's have sex, or maybe the number of cats that piss in their cherios? Or perhaps the number of times the GM's spill coffee on the servers?

Seriously...

No, it doesn't always mean the same thing, but if you bothered reading the article and look at something else besides the colors on the graph, you would understand exactly what it ment.

Yeah, politicians do that all the time. All companies do it :p SE tries to do it aswell. They did mention that the number of account holders were down to 300 in the article, though, so I'd still say its rather good success. Although I doubt that's true, since that would mean around 10 account holders per server, which sounds like WAY too little.

Psst. X = horizontal axis and Y = vertical axis. Maybe Baja was right.

And I am not retarded. It was a joke. I know how to read and look at a graph, even though the graph is a piece of shit.

16, 29, in case anyone's curious, I read an article about it the other day, was pretty interesting. The author was claiming a correlation between the two and he actually made a fairly strong argument.

Well, I'm sorry for mixing that up while tired and eating while watching fat people on TV :p

lol Mesmorizing, isn't it?

There are some major botters on our server, hoping they get axed out. I think every claim on a NQ/King should be watched.

I'd love to see some of that nice gear people are getting get banned.

They should make it so people who aren't known RMT and being watched have their drop pool changed into the other alliance of counter campers :)

Don't know how they would make it work, but it would be funny that instead of just banning them, they do our work for us instead :D

They've started to do that... occasionally GM's will send you a "Are you by the computer? yes/no" window to the person who claimed, and then a GM will talk to them about their answer.

I hope they get rid of all those RMT's at the ulli camp. I was totally disgusted last time I was there.=(
