POL PROBLEM

I can no longer add people onto my friendslist or send/recieve msgs. Why? T_T

Sometimes when i log into POL it says i have a msg but when i check it doesnt show up. Help me T_T

Do you happen to have 2 copies of FFXI, may i ask ?

And did you get tangled into playing more on another PC/Console ?
 
Nope Anttaru i've always been with PC =) altho ive changed computers 2-3 times.

I’m not really sure on this one. From a Networking stand point, my guess would be you are unable to reach the POL Friends List server, which is separate from the actually game server. Have you recently made any changes to your Firewall? But my understanding is if you can’t reach that server, POL will abort with an error code.

You could try calling SE, but my guess is they are going to tell you to reinstall. That seems to be there answer to everything.

Network engineer? this is worse than i thought... more than just a spy... a communist spy!
 
Well the best thing to do is your exceeding any limits first on POL, too many friends or message etc. Delete most/all your message to be safe.

Secondly if that doesnt work, reinstall the whole thing, this should sort the problem. If it doesnt you are screwed :D

From a networking point of view, if you can get on everything fine, POL and FFXI then nothing is blocking anything going from and to your computer, so it seems to be either just a POL error/bug or you've just exceeded your message or friends limit.

i dunno wuts wrong cuz when i use POL on my friend's comp it works. -_-" I doubt its my connection, i have no firewalls on and I'm the only one using the connection, NO router etc., at all.
