Bah.. they are getting the baby bumpers for the game it seems -_- if you were being hit by an IT before you disc. you were prolly gonna die anyways.

They are reffering to those moments where you disconnect in a spot thats is safe for the moment but after DCing theres a bigass monster in front of you.
Sneak and invis wear if you dc as well correct? Disconnect in front of something big and large that wouldnt aggro cause youre invis and sneaked then see what happens when you login vsible and loud as a foghorn.
 
it doesn't keep you logged on that long when you disconnect, I know, it's happened to me tons. It's been so rare where I ever was running invis/sneak and disc. and come back to be killed.

Edit: I wonder when GM Dave is gonna talk about this update.. he'll prolly be like "god damn it, more work"
 
Yeah I admit it almost never happens and it's such a rare issue I dont see why they even care atm vs something everyone notices like idk ....entire zones being essentially designated as owned by RMT. It can happen though. I just happen to avoid situations where that can happen, dont use autorun in certain places and have this nifty ability on thf called "hide" that normally saves me.(disconnect while on autorun and you keep running during the 30 seconds youre disconnecting I hear)

hmm.. I wonder if there is a job that couldn't get away fast enough or warp, teleport, etc, fast enough if that kinda thing happens. I know a RDM has no problem XD

I think they're talking moreso along the lines of the Faust soloing trick, Absolute Virtue hanging on the walls, etc. I think they fixed AV a while ago though.

Check the sales history for Warp II and some of the Tele-scrolls. I don't know how they did it, but one guy selling 18 of the past 25 scrolls obtained only from a non-repeatable quest? Bit fishy.

Anyone know the answer to this?

Personally, I'd have zero problem with SE playing "Big Brother" on my PC or PS2 while I played, so long as they provide an endorsed version of a windower for everyone to use.
 
NOW they give us "you can have your stuff back" tickets...
Where were you when I threw my 2 bomb cores, or my bibiki shell for that matter....

Dunno if I'd use my ticket on a core though, but the seashell I might've.
(Just make the quest repetable, hello?)

Yes, WoW has a built in windower.

And this is nuts. Too bad this wasn't around when Syliph jacked almost 1mil gil from me lol

actually if you look back at Chasyms quiting thread he mentions a hack that lets you pull items out of the air as you could say, this is probably the result

This is what I've been saying for at least two years now, hopefully SE's realized it.

They need to add a windowed mode to FFXI, and then absolutely come down hardcore on everything else, like the flaming wrath of god. Every memloc editor, every hack, every bot, every plugin, display, addon. Provide a legitimate method for performing a legitimate thing (windowed mode), and ban the fuck out of the rest with extreme prejudice.
 
Delsus, Dayner didn't steal your thread, I moved his post to a separate thread, then deleted your thread.

The simple reason for this is that, what with you spouting lies about being a GM, then making a thread about all the adjustments GMs would be showing, people either wouldn't believe you (I don't blame them, I wouldn't anymore) or they'd be encouraged to flame you in a topic that doesn't need unreasoned flames.

Thats easy, I know several people that buy a stack of galkan sausage, mule it, turn the stack in for enough fame, turn the slime oil in for the scroll, and then mail the scroll to themselves, and delete the mule.

The update specifially states they used items in thier inventory, to increase synthing skill, while not affecting the item number they had.
