If you was suppost find out "what work best" they would have made it so. Im not going argue about that lord knows we already had 100page discussion on it

They did, wtf do you think the parser gets the info?

There's no difference between the parser and logging all incoming text.

The same could be achieved by sacking more of your life logging/writing down all the combat information for the gear combinations and working it out yourself. It's called automation and serves NO gains to the user save providing information which is readily availble from people who have far more time in their lives to sit and crunch numbers about an MMO. The windower PLUGINS have a valid argument as for being cheats/hax but otherwise your argument is pathetic.

By your logic paying attention is cheating, log off. If you weren't going to argue about it you wouldn't have.

This is retarted. Your actually arguing the fact that a parser is a hack? A parser will only GATHER (not send) information that APPEARS in your chat log. If it doesn't show its not parsed. It doesn't do anything to the game that gives you an unfair advantage. It simply tracks really fast what you've already read and tells you the results.

So we were never supposed to get the best gear in the game? That's the dumbest excuse for calling a parser cheating that I've ever heard.
Now but you suppost know the exact numbers. Beside most gear you can clearly tell is better.

Never fails:nono: again with the far off analogies. What you don't realize is that your post is exactly why it is cheating. How many people would sit there with pen and paper? There suppost to be some mystery. If they didnt want mystery they would allow you see ma acc and aac and ra atk. They keep all this mystery, by doing this people try diffent equpiment. You parser it though then you find out item A is better then item B then item b become a useless item.

Yeah, it's such a fucking mystery the difference between stats that are declared on the gear. Get a goddamn clue, it's a violation of the terms of service, but it is in no way a cheat; you have no advantage over other members in the party. Since the parse results are often public, you have no advantage over anyone even outside the party, because everyone will know the results and go for that gear. You just want an excuse to wear shitty gear and think people with the brain cells to do research and find the best options are cheaters. Parsers = good, they allow people to optimize their performance, saying that's a bad thing is retarded.

Then you don't need to parse it, dumbass. Parsing is only for finding the optimal gear for the situation, and it's pretty much only for gear that you can't obviously tell which is superior. Hauby vs. Osode is an excellent example, people thought that the 5 more STR/DEX was better because it was higher level and rarer; but a parser showed that for DoT, hauby was superior. That's a good thing, since it lets everyone perform better than they did previously.

lol you ever seen my gear? Also who saw this data? I never have, in fact odose is still presumed to be the better option by most, which again is proving my point that you do have an advantage over others that don't read this forum or don't have computer to access this information. In fact i've never seen that thread even on this board.

No, but since you were asking what body armor you could gimp your way along with until a hauberk rather than buying the superior haubergeon, it's not hard to believe that you're gimping yourself in other ways too.

The people who blindly assume osode > hauby at all times are idiots who don't bother to do any research into anything. You could spend 20 seconds searching on KI or BG or hell, even here and you'd find data that shows hauby > osode for DoT; if you're not going to spend that kind of time then I have an unbeatable advantage over you in that I'm not a dumbass.

You don't even need computer access, just watch all of the war/nin's at the merit camps, they're all wearing hauby, shura or Koga; not osode. But then again, that's also dependent on you not being a moron, so you're out of luck.

Edit: I guess next you're going to say that me looking up a quest/mission online is cheating too, since I have such an advantage over an idiot who doesn't bother to do any research into anything.

Someone explain to me how i made a 'far off analogy' by taking what the parser does and breaking it down into analog...

If you can't bother grasping the subject matter you're arguing about it'd do you well to just keep quiet, obviously this falls on deaf ears.

Edit: There is no mystery, it's called math. If they wanted it all mysterious it would be more random instead of flat equations. After having gone over some more of the drivel i could swear this dumbass just said QCDN = hax for information sharing.... baja beat me too it but that's absolutely staggering. Also when in doubt lrn2search, just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not here. I'd offer a link but it's fun to learn. Try it sometime.

again with the names, really should see someone about that. First off not having harby is not gimping yourself the sipahi jawshan and jaridah peti are perfectly good substitutes. Yes your not the best, then again I bet you not riding around in a Ferrari are you? There alot of sam/nin/war wearing odose instead of harbys. Most the ones wearing latter don't have a odose, so they don't wear it. Also KI people still go there? That place worse then alaka. Sure good place for dynamis info and they have a nice weapon calculator.

where the thread here talking about how harby better then odose. Also what other gear was worn when they made these test? Having 10str on your body can allow you place acc item somewhere else let say like potent belt instead of warewolf. Or put a attack item somewhere instead of str item. I'm almost welling to bet that person who made that parser had harby build setup in which case the harby would be better. These are reason parser should not have existed, Now unless he tried swapping different gear around you can not say harby is the Superior body. Though you have already the mind set that it is the better body by reading that topic where ever it is. Creating a bigger demand for harbys and a smaller demand for odose. Instead of leading the way game was attended and trying your own combinations. Yet you would rather be uniformity.

You obviously know very little about how a parser works and how information is sent and recieved between you and a game server. I'd bother going more in depth but it's quite clear there's really no point.

Edit: You're also about 4 years late on the whole 'blaze your own trail' BS.

I'd rather everyone have good gear than wear any shit they want and claim it's good. Since you're apparently too stupid(thanks for proving that point btw) to bother to do a search, here is the thread on hauby > osode. IT took me 10 seconds to find it, wow that sure was hard. There has been a ton of parses on the subject, you'd have to be stupid to draw a conclusion based on a single test; the fact that you're not even trying to find them doesn't mean they don't exist nor does it remove their benefit to the game. Also, don't forget this has information too.

This is all common knowledge at this point, the fact that you are too lazy/stupid to spend the few seconds it takes to find it just undermines your position.

again where did I accuse qcdn? Ever time, you always try to escalate what I say into something worse. There is mystery or else you would not be using parser in the first place. Hell all ffxi is is a complex version of D&D. Each time you swing you rolling a dice between number x and number y. Your gear raise those number by a %. It is still very much random. Until you have a program calculate hours upon hours of data and you get average on a certain type of "gear setup" on a "certain mob" on a "certain day."

which again is proving my point that you do have an advantage over others that don't read this forum or don't have computer to access this information.

The reason the parser exists is so you don't have to do it by hand, period. The parser doesn't give a crap what you have on and neither did the programmer, it's simply a tool. Hate to break this to you but D&D > FFXI on mathematical complexity and it's a hell of a lot more random. The idea behind the parser is to find what works best for you with hard data to get behind it, much like you would with pen and paper on say ... D&D. It's called research (i hear an echo). Seriously, you're embrassing yourself. Just give it up, wether you agree or not is not the issue there's really no way to argue your point. What you're basicly doing is accusing people of cheating on an open book test.

What happened to not making the argument? Thought you pulled out of this a couple pages back.

I'm such a dirty hacker, I use this hack to save time whenever I do a BCNM or craft for profit. It saves me so much time doing the math on paper, kekekeke ^^

Shhhh, don't tell people. Either way, don't ask, I can't give it out, it's one of the most state of the art hacks and can be used for almost any game. I know a lot of people will try to call BS on it, but it's true.

Guess what, the gear Hell was talking about is good gear. Just because you are above everyone else in the game and must have the best possible gear ever, doesn't mean that everyone will or can have it. Baja, you are sure 1337 because you've been playing for so long and have the means to buy your 1337n355. You do realize though that back in 2004 that gear was for the real elites, and it is still not nessasary unless you are in a party full of fuckheads. Hauby, SH, Brynie, Vermy and AJ are pieces of armor that you don't need yet are very, very nice to have. Get out of your parsed gil buying world and join the MMO that you play...oh wait this MMO is all about calling people gimp, I forgot. That's why they give you that /c function. To be honest it makes me sick, and I want to PK fools that think they know everything about a game when they tell you that the elite gear is what everyone should have. If this is your first MMO I can understand your reasons for it, you are just retarded. Do you really think though that 500,000 hauby's and SH and vermys and AJ are the answer? I don't.

Not everyone is driving a Shelby, you have to realize this and just step back from your diluted imaginary world and realize that MMOs are full of the middle class that fill up the real world. We don't need the best, the fastest or the nicest to get along. We just get along, we get the job done and we have fun doing it. Grow up and get out of your elitest mentality or go play a game where your skill is teseted instead or your gear. How bout this, add Shaunessy to your Xbox friends list and let me own you with my pistol every round. Then we can talk about 1337. Pussy.
