pop up damage

Now, this might just be me, but i was playing around yesterday, and i noticed somthing odd... there were little popups above the monster and me.... the damage and a "Miss!" were poping up.... Am i just soo dumb and didnt notice this? or is it somthing totaly new....

LOL this is ok. You can turn this off and on in Config 1 I believe. There is an option to show damage in the Log, on Screen or Both. I prefer both actually.

yes, but as this always been like this? i have never seen it, and i know ive never enabled/disabled it

It's actually in Config --> Misc 1

The default is Log only. I don't know if you may have accidentally changed or what.

I tried playing with just the pop-ups for a bit, but I didn't like not having a record of damage in my log. The log was very helpful for figuring out why the NIN tank in my party died in 2 hits in Korroloka last night. Full-force Blow followed by a crit-hit from worm=dead little taru.

Hehe. I never was able to get use to having the damage show above my head. I just have to leave it on the default.
