Feedback Portal Page

I never really looked at any of the portal articles from day one. It reminded me too much of social networking sites. It is more of a nuisance than useful.
 
I just tried the links on the portal page

Make it so it doesn't open up a new window, it doesn't accomplish anything.
 
A lot of ideas are being bounced back and forth. Right now as soon as I can we're going to have qcdn.org be redirected straight to the forums and move the portal to a different location so we can get it bug free and with more interesting items.

The restriction of one post per member is lifted now.
 
When I log on to this site from school or a computer that is not mine I get directed to the portal page. All I do is click the banner to get to the index.

When I log on from my computer I go straight to the index.

With these two factors in mind, I don't mind the portal page. Havin' seen it, I think it would be useful to new comers and it's not so much a hindrance to those of us who are not new to bypass. So I don't see any negatives in havin' a portal page.
 
I always type in the name and hit crtl (or ctrl+shift) + enter. ....why not just have it redirect to the correct page?
 
Should just get rid of it altogether. ;)
