Probably going to do the PS2. Id like to pay a few months rent with my tax check also lol. And Ill probably be buying the PS2 tonight so

As far as Im concerened I'd love to have a ps2 capable FFXI so I can have access to computer for research of things that need to be done. The laptop is far more handier. There are so many things to be done on a PC/Laptop then a PS2.

Edit: I would also have to agree that it would be damn near impossible to find a gen 1 or 2 ps2 that could fit the HDD. Most ps2 are tiny like what PSX became when PS2 came out.

I wouldn't get a laptop...

I currently play xi on a laptop...and let's just say it's on it's last few "legs"

I'd definately go desktop, but hey that's just me.
 
Yup I have gone back to desktop. PS2 too big of a pain to get ahold of one that will work and the actual software, XBOX 360 noone has the game itself in stock, laptop too expensive,

Back to desktop I go

Omg no! Please dont get an xbox360 lol. It's like playing ffxi in slow motion (and its not that my 360 is shitty). I got it for 360 and...cried. But now im happily back on my ps2 =)

huh? Do you even know what your talking about half the time? Slow motion? Um, may want to buy a new 360. Be my guest though and stick with your craptasic PS2 graffics...lmao.

Do I know what im talking about half the time? Dont know what your refering to there, but yeah I will stick with my ps2. I dont judge rpg's by how good their graphics are, so thats not a problem with me. So YOU can continue playing on your lol360, while i enjoy the game going normal pace.

Normal pace? I don't knwo what your reffering to. Game works fine on my 360. Most of my friends have that have switch from PC to 360 have nothing but good things to say about the change. To each his own i guess..lol. I also don't play RPG's for the graphics. Just pointing out that if there is another option out there that has higher resolution, why wouldn't you take it? lol. I guess I prefer to play in HD, rather then nintendo looking SDTV. /shrug
 
I dunno, when I'm playing on 360 my guy literally feels like he is running 3/4's the speed. And when I do a weapon skill such a Guillotine, it will show sqaures around each hit. I assume thats part of the animation they made, but your definatly not supposed to see it lol. This is the same for my friends 360's, maybe colorado just has shitty xbox's, who knows.
