My BF works for a game store and got a memo today which says that Hurricaine Ivan has caused delays all across the boards for CHAINS PC release...PS2 version will be out tomorrow as planned.

So glad I have ps2....

I called like 10 mins ago, Wed. for PC release as well. Grr... I want CoP now.. while im not working dammit.
 
just get it in a normal store. since most ppl go to game stores, regular stores( target, kmart, wal-mart) have a lot of copies. I never recerve my games because I know there are always copies there.

They only things I will recerve are kindomg hearts 2, FFXII and the PSP!^^
 
I tried calling the target and wal-mart stores, however an old lady seems to work electronics in each store I call, and the conversation quickly goes no-where :(

I hate that I got some old lady that didnt know crap when I pre-ordered my EQ2. She almost didn't want to give me the box and key code for pre-order.

What a dumb one she was.

Not much. I'll have to go over there and personally beat the tar out of any old lady that comes within my parameters. Then, just walk out with the COP.

"Chains of Promathia" PlayStation(R)2 Installation Warning

We have discovered an issue with the PlayStation(R)2 version of FINAL FANTASY XI Expansion Disc: Chains of Promathia. Cancelling the installation by pressing the "Stop" button may cause all FINAL FANTASY XI data to be lost, necessitating a complete reinstall of FINAL FANTASY XI.

* Note that pressing "Stop" during the installation will display a confirmation screen. This screen prevents accidental cancellations.

If you encounter this issue, you will need the original FINAL FANTASY XI discs in order to reinstall the game.

Please note that you must reinstall FINAL FANTASY XI if the Chains of Promathia installation is cancelled in any way. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sneakypants called Fry's electronics first and got this response = "Chains of what?..FFXI xpack..oh check back sometime later this week." I called hoping I would get a smarter rep but got the same dude named BOB who gave me the same exact answer :x :x . I DID HOWEVER call another gamestore chain and they told me that they should be getting their shipment today by 1pm central. It aint EBgames coz they got an email stating what Jender said. Sooooo Sneaky and I will be crossing our fingers since we have halfdays at work today... (shoulda planned it for tomorrow :? ) :wink:
 
Wed the 22 has always been the day that stores will be getting CoP. The 21st was the ship-date, and to get it on the 21st, you would have to have it same-dayed to your or your local store.
 
Jesus, I just phoned my EB and they're not getting it in until Friday!

I work at EB, and the FFXI PC Expansion is not in the Coming Soon section of the computer anymore. This means that it was either Canceled or In-Transit. Obviously, its In-Transit.
