Possible quest to get to the near east! (99% positive)

What I don't get is that I was still able to board the boat. I'd think without the pass it would say something to me, instead of not having the expansion (ie: Getting booted off the Manaclipper when you don't have a ticket). Although maybe you need a pass to get past the NPC's once you land in Al Zahbi.

Edit: I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!

There seems to be more to this quest. I've found details a doable (as in you can do it RIGHT now, pre expansion) relating to a mercenary company and they talk about the eastern lands. A lot of people picked up the badges but have no clue how to complete the quest. I'm almost positive this is required for access, but it's up to you to decide. There seems to be a quest in every major city, it's called Call of the Wild cat, and you earn invitation cards.

Somepage.com has all the NPC's , locations, and guides toward their completion. I'll refrain from posting a link, but you can search for the starting NPC for the Bastok one for starters, his name is Alib-Mufalib .

If you read earlier in the SE statements..... Aht Urgan is not for low level people too.. they said they'd make it "more challenging".

Gonna be a huge wave of low levels "waaaaaaah I can't get (XXXX item/job)"
Good... As is theres too many newbs with access to everything and for 75's where's the challenge? Hopefully unlocking the new jobs has a good fight requiring a 50ish+ full PT for ... Sick of everything being so easy to obtain access too... Plus, I know 75's wouldnt mind some nice IT++ mobs to play with..

It came out during the February update, methinks. Lure of the Wildcat. I've done it, but recently learned that that's not the prerequisite, and may either lead to the beginnning of the ToAU storyline or access to Mog Lockers.
