Hate to break it to you man, that's not the Skyline engine minus the turbo. lol For one... the Skyline are straight six, not a V6. The GTRs use the RB engine... different block, and all that jazz.

I gotta say though, for a decade old car... that's an immaculate engine bay.

Actucally after looking it up I found that the Skyline GT-R JGTC Racecars used the VQ30DETT which among other differences uses 2 turbos but is still a 3.0L VQ family engine. I was just trying to make the point the engine isn't anything to scoff at >_>

And that pic was taken right after I bought it, I need to clean it hasn't been for about 3 years >_> It was also in a front end commission right before the prev owner sold it to someone who fixed it up (not a salvage btw) and sold it at PADE (Pennsylvania Auto Dealers Auction) My uncle came up from Delaware to get me a car there (and a few for his lot)

That is a damn nice looking 300ZX has it been restored or just well taken care of?

Just really well maintained. The guy who owned it before me was an aircraft mechanic, so he always kept it in top order. The interior was actually like new when I got it. It's still damn good, just the carpets need a bit of love.165k miles and going strong!

Although the front suspension is shot to the point of being unsafe, the clutch has been going for 6 months, the seals on the driver side t-top leak and the radiator needs a good flushing. But at least it's still shiny.

Recaros... very nice! My last Golf MkII had a pair of leather Recaros, you could take a hairpin at 60 and not move an inch in those seats. And time to upgrade man! DC5 with a JDM front end conversion... dooo eeeet.

Long story short, after dumping 2k in my LX I had the final straw with it and ditched it at my stepdads. Picked this baby up for 1,000 flat (Worth 3000 easy) but he was in a tight spot.

Stepdad is a huge SC nut and has had.. I think 6 separate SC's on his yard for parts so it was a no brainer to buy it since I could get parts on the fly. The LX has a ton of parts that fit it too.. but boy those parts aint cheap when you need em. =/

I would do a 4 door DC with a JDM front but I like my old DA. I just wish I had the money to paint her but I ended up spending 3k+ on my girls engagement ring and now we are paying for a wedding so the paint job will have to wait. I'm thinking of making her a garage queen and picking up an IS250 6 speed.
