Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 2) (05/20/2008)

Wait... TWO additions that people have been screaming for for a long time, and they don't add some terrible downside like having to type with your nose? I'm shocked.

Supply Quest Records

As you are no doubt aware, in order to make use of the regional teleport services, it is first necessary to complete a supply quest to the outpost in question. We will be implementing a change wherein along with your mission rank and conquest points, a record of completed supply quests will now be retained even after transferring your allegiance to another nation.

Can someone explain exactly what this means? I thought the last post on the June version update already told us about the change to Outpost Warps being saved after changing nations. But I thought it meant that We would only have those Outpost Warps with the nations we aquired them as(as far as the wording went). And that you couldn't Outpost Warp until you changed your nation back to your 1st one. Does this mean you can now Outpost Warp still AFTER you change nations?

A B B A - Name the code!

I would love to do Sandoria and Windurst missions, but not at the expense of losing my outpost capabilities. If that's still the case, then this means nothing to me.

If so, that'll be a slap in the face to folks who didn't want to change nations for so long (read: me) because they'd fear losing all their OP warps.

And it'll be a godsend to those who did change, because they'll simply have to do the supply missions across the three nations and get OPs faster than before.

Read: Week 1 -- Do Sarutabaruta as Windurst, change to Bastok and do Gustaberg, change to San d'Oria and do Ronfaure and keep all three while changing? fuck that.

In part that's true. I worked hard for my full OP priveleges, which is why I'm still only Windurst Rank 10. But, on the other hand. If this is true, it would be nice to be able to get the other to mission lines done and not have to worry about Outpost Warps at all. It would make OP's ungodly easy to get, but it's probably better for the player base in the long run. And maybe will inspire others to go for full Outpost Warps. **cough** Deja **cough**

Sadly, I have to do this:

in b4 those who say "blah blah op warps useless wotg maw use+retrace+whitegate warptaru+teleport-xxx+free aht urhgan transit from home nations"

But just know that I agree with you Wak.

If this turns out to be true about the outpost warps i may change nations to Bastok and Sandoria just to get the missions done in the near future. But, when I was done, I would most likely still change nations back to Windurst, I've been Windurstian since I started this game and know the town like the back of my hand. Not to mention the guilds for my 2 main crafts are the (Bonecraft & Fishing). So yeah, it short. Windurst > all as far as main nation standings. =)

ain't that the damn truth.

Windurst for life :o

can someone explain why the auto sort item is a big deal? isn't the same thing that windower does?

hope the part three has the job updates /puts fire on deadhorse

It's a big deal for those people that refuse to violate the ToS and prefer to deal with the shitty PoL windower!

I believe the first words I spoke upon reading the text of this update were: "Oh, fuck you SE."

This update should have been the June Version Update of 2004.

Hey, at least you're done beating the poor horse. ;)

I'm reading to OP warp thing to be what they said in the interview. They've been having some issues with translation lately. >.>

Excited about Moogles in Selbina and Mhuara, never thought of delivery guys . . . Now to work on getting moogles at the telepoints . . . .

And the auto-sort will make things so much easier. It's not even a question of ToS, since I'm mostly playing on Xbox these days, and couldn't have Windower even if I wanted it.

Auto-sort is a huge deal meriting. Losing out on KS and BS because you have 11 single crystals without a chance to sort on your own (yes, i'm serious) is a pretty big deal.

Except that windower does this. While it's nice that they're doing it officially, them doing something that's been around for a large part of the player base is not a "yay".

He doesn't lie. I've been stuck at 45 Beastmen's Seals and 96 KS for months because of this bullshit. I don't stop to sort my 14 or so dark crystals until I actually notice that people other than myself are consistently getting BS or KS.

And, for further emphasis...Wakmidget continues to be correct.

I don't disagree that a large portion of the pc users have had it. But it's still beneficial, despite the fact that it's late. I'm a fan of better late than never.

Normally, I would agree with you. However, I would much rather the developers spend time developing new shit.

Breaking more jobs and then half-ass fixing them through future updates?
