Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 2) (05/20/2008)

Oh I'm not particularly bitching. Any addition to the game is usually a step in the right direction. I'll herald them for that.

It just never seems like they take full advantage of what they have. The ability to instigate major interest in the player base and add new things into the game. It sure seems like they're trying, but I have to believe that their idea of superb isn't the same as ours.

Put nomad moogles in selbina/mhaura? what a great idea! It's not like there were 3~4 alternate zones for exp during the dunes/bubu levels BEFORE WOTG added in 3 more spots with auto-refresh, food sanction,Regen, AND the benefits of signet.

The autosort function is nice but is there a way to turn it off?
What's going to happen when i want to sell only a certain portion of a stack but the autosort keeps on putting the items back together?

It said there's going to be an option to turn it off

Speaking of cure locking...

Did anyone notice ANY difference whatsoever? I still get frozen like an idiot just as always used to.
I find Protect shields, Bard songs, and Cures cast on me seem to freeze my actions for almost a second nearly. If anything I'd say the effect has gotten worse rather than been improved.

Nah, Haste / Protect / bard songs weren't touched.

Cures are slightly quicker, but any buffs whatsoever freeze just like they used to.

I've noticed little to no change. Why even say they are going to address it when they don't even do anything..

I never noticed a problem to begin with, but I assume I just wasn't in a position to notice it.

I'm going to assume that everyone has reported to SE through their handy little bug report forms that their fix didn't fix it?

Shortened Immobility Duration
The issue whereby certain restoration magic causes the character to become temporarily immobile, will be addressed. Up until now, casting cure on a character immediately after they initiate the attack command will result in that character becoming unable to move until spellcasting is complete, even after they have assumed battle stance. This immobility duration will be reduced drastically with the next version update.

They never said they would get rid of the issue altogether, but they did say they would reduce it drastically. Which is a complete lie.

People wouldn't be upset if they didn't waste 30 dollars on a new exapansion that has little new content. It's a bunch of reskinned zones and mobs with constant besieges and solo assaults. When SE finally does get to updates, they add relatively little for longer periods in between and "fix" problems that have been around since day 1 that most players have been accustomed to enough to not care or the fixes are blatantly useless since 99% of the player base no longer will make use of them. Note, I use the word "fix" loosely because fixing would mean actually correcting the problem and not saying you did while it still obviously remains. Fix cure locking my ass...

so true.....
