I could have sworn this was over 1M a little bit ago. I looked tonight though and the list was all 8k. Something must have changed while I wasn't looking. Can someone tell me what it is?

It dropped from multi mil to <100k a few months back if I remember. Its as common as refresh these days. Pitty to those who paid mill+ for it.

I looked around and the only thing I can see to warrent the drop was an increase in supply from ENMs. I didn't know they brought that many into circulation, but then I guess WHMs hit 70 less often than these ENMs get done.

i actually got lucky one day and paid 2k for raise 3 , needless to say hubby was very happy even though his whm isnt that high but he was in total disgust when he seen it was up for a mil and i surpised him one day with it and he was like how did you get a mil i said i didnt and told him look in ah and he was like no way .

Yeah a few updates ago they made it drop in a BC or ENM made it much more common I was glad to see that too :)

Yeah all the WHMs were complaining about the price of Raise III and SE added more places to get it in a patch. The price dropped very quickly immedately following said patch. That had to have been at least 6 months ago.

Aren't you all thinking of Raise II as being the really expensive one? My good friend Longdukdong (ie Duckie) got her Raise III as a drop from some fairly easy mob we killed skilling up on one night quite a while back.

Raise 3 doesn't drop from any skill up mobs unless it is very new.
I didn't know there was such thing as a "skill up mob". So what? Now they've separated normal mobs from skill up mobs? What are the Kuftal crabs now? Last I checked, they were both.

Padington is most likely thinking of Reraise 3, which I believe does drop off normal mobs. At this time last year, Raise 3 was over 1 mil in price; I remember that because I was 68-69 on white mage around this time of year and was looking for the spell. SE introduced new ways to get the spell, which caused the price to plummet for the benefit of everyone. Raise 2 is more expensive now, but it's not anywhere near the prices that Raise 3 got to.

Thnikkaman, there are mobs that are frequently used for people to skillup on(like the crabs/lizards in kuftal tunnel), so they're often called "skillup mobs." They're exp mobs, but are used for skillup, that's all.

But... can't all mobs be used to skill up on? Damn- this game's gotten way too tight. Everything that's ever done now is under some unwritten rule.
eg: NIN having to tank; RDM not allowed to melee; SMN used as main healers, etc
(Now, I realize these things are good, but now you can't get away with NOT doing them)

You can get skill on any mob, but you can only effectively do skill up parties on certain types of mobs. Namely, you avoid mobs with dmg, nasty aoe, and mobs in bad areas with lots of aggro. An additional requirement is usually a mob that is EP or DC to lvl 75s, as these are prime for skilling from 150-230. This shouldn't be such a strange concept.

Not sure why you are even singling me out, Padington was the one that said he was skilling up, and I was refering to all mobs that might be used for skill up by saying 'skill up mob'. Its the same thing as refering to crawlers in crawlers nest as exp mobs. Who said anything about it being a rule, unwritten or otherwise? If you want to start an argument/debate with me, find better material.

Yes, all mobs can be used for skillup, there's just mobs that are very commonly used. Kuftal Tunnel crabs/lizards and steelshells in boyahda tree are some of the more common skillup mobs used.

yeah, paddie definately meant the reraise3 scroll. and it wasn't a skill up party. it was our static xp party in gustav tunnel at level 60ish...a goblin alchemist. we thought we hit the jackpot for our little whm, dukkie, and we were more than pleased to let her have it no matter what it was worth. 'twas a shame to go back to jeuno and find out it was cheap as dirt on the AH. -.-

good times that static...lol.

Baj is right....it was the Reraises we kept getting. We killed alot of mobs back when were in our static party, we were so bored at the time and GOD do I ever miss those days now that our static is no more =(
