Minus Ifrit hm which is easy with a paladin tank, the pre requirements to get into the first 8 man raid seems a bit extreme for the average Joe blow player. Personally I've done nothing but hard mode type raiding so I've enjoyed the hm's to get through, but my average player I lead in the company i know will struggle with titan which in turn will hold the company back to get into raiding. We have about 75% on hm titan now and for the most part that fight is a self raid awareness check.

Wondering how others are doing with these fights in their company and opinions on the fights being a little extreme just to get into their first 8 man raid.

My opinions and concern with SE is wow tried this also but had to water things down to because the average player got discouraged and gave up.

Since I have rerolled on your server, I haven't had a chance to experience them. From the shouts I see between gil seller spam, people are saying they are pretty brutal. Perhaps when you have my lovely bard songs and a keep raiding mentality, we can take Titan and Garuda down like the bitches they are!

I hope they keep them ridiculously hard imo :P Hard mode is supposed to be hard! I can't wait to try at em myself. But my little lancer is only 47 and I have much of the story left (heading to umbra isles now finally).

We have hm garuda on farm and titan consistently to the last phase. As for your comment elemm I don't mind harder content but this is little bit much just to get into a raid that has easier bosses. Hard modes are supposed to be a optional thing for more hardcore type raiders, not for raid instance attunements. My only real complaint is the length of the fights, not necessarily the fight itself. Iuno, i feel its a bit much for the average Joe player. i personally don't find the mechanics hard on titan, but it is irritating when you clearly got out of that gold shit by 5 feet, but the game still acts like you got hit by it, it becomes very aggravating. The way the game moves your toon when you cast spells and pulls you in odd directions also is a huge issue on this fight. Maybe i'm jsut spoiled by wow's and rifts way better ui system, addons, and better caster animation. We'll get it down, but it seems a bit silly to me this rough of content so early in just to get into a 8 man raid.

Hard modes aren't meant for the average joe player though o.o but ya, I haven't found the fights themselves hard (though only done them on normal so far, haven't been able to play enough to get to 50 to do hardmode, only just yesterday hit 49), but it seems others don't know how to move fast enough to avoid things. That's it.

I do agree this game has some issues with how things move and such things with attacks, I have seen many who were outside the AoE still get hit. It's, annoying.

I actually just attempted Ifrit Hard mode, randoms in Duty Finder. I did not know it was different from 1.0 so I was like...Shit! And everyone knew how to do the fight but me, Forgot my shield oath...Wiped. Tanked to like 50% second try, Mistakingly hit the limit burst button and everyone calls me everything they could think of and leaves the party....First bad experience, ironically it happened in 1.0 when I was learning to tank him there...I got really depressed and just stopped playing for awhile because Ifrit makes me feel like a shitty player in my first few attempts.

They are not hard at all for any group of competent players.

If they are made easier it is simply nerfing the game for casual players.

It's a challenging game. If you find it too difficult to execute on a personal level maybe this isn't the game for you.

The only truly annoying issue is that people are starting to expect people to have completely geared themselves out in the dungeon they're running to attempt it.

Anyone who dings 50 any time soon is going to join groups for Ifrit and Amdapor Keep and find people leaving because they haven't already cleared it 100 times.

I just dinged 50 :O but I'll just do those with my FC cause they're nice peoplez.

Once again I have no dramas personally as i stated in my comment with raid mechanics, however the average player will struggle with titan and get frustrated and walk away. No one wants to play a dead game and start seeing all the servers being combined from lack of population. AKA Rift shortly after Storm Legion was out for about 3 months.

For those players you have the regular modes and offer new content on a semi-regular basis so they keep playing. You don't dumb down or make easier the modes that are supposed to be hard and cause lots of deaths before you figure it out.

If the content is too hard for you, you'd probably just have to settle with not being on the forefront of the endgame content. I say it as no insult to you; Yoshi P. has stated in the past that as new content gets introduced, older content's difficulty will be nerfed.

It's actually a really neat idea, because it means that everyone can enjoy content at their own pace.

lol for shits sake, I'm through all the hm's. I'm saying this is a obscene way of allowing people to enter into a 8 man raid. If all the hm's were required for the relic weapon only, I can dig that.

Extreme mode primals are still set for next patch, right?

Garuda isn't that hard :\ I haven't given titan a shot because Ifrit and Gardua aren't dropping their weapon for me to go just AK farm for DL gear.

The problem with titan is that it is a extremely long fight with a lot of one shot mechanics. The first couple of bosses in Coil are easier then the prerequisites to get to them which was my initial point. I think extreme versions are planned on release of the 24 man, which is a month from now i think.

there are 24 mans coming out? :O

Binding Coil is an 8-player dungeon and Crystal Tower "can be" completed with up to 24-players.

lol glad I switched back to PC, the PS3 version won't show that many players.

I just beat primal Ifrit the other day, it was easy, except I'm a bard so I play at maximum range, but in this fight I had to get closer as his AoE is so big it takes forever to run out of it. It was fun though, I'm loving these "stay on your toes" fights. I'm dreading primal Garuda, it took me 24 random parties to beat her, for 23 tries it was complete wipe multiple times, people getting pissy at each other, but on the 24th try everything just came together, it was so perfect it was one of those light shining down and angels singing moments. I'm also on an EU server atm so a lot of people don't speak English, can't wait to get out of there.
