Priorities of 75 DRK

if you /sam in einherjar i would kick you from my shell... there are so many mobs that have AOEs that can be blocked completely by having a couple shadows up that on teir 3s even our bards /nin so that they can keep up songs without fear.
On most of those mobs, Drain works. Skeles AoE goes through shadows, so /nin won't help there. Worms, ghosts, wamoura, kraken, and leech AoE also go through shadows. Jellies are the worst that can be absorbed, and drain works great on them. If you know what you're doing, there's no need to /nin in einherjar. Just have to use your spells, which a lot of drks seem to forget they have.

Thanks btw, I always thought that whatever STR you had from Hasso is the amount of haste and acc you got. 5STR, 5 Haste, 5 ACC ect. I tend to sub NIN alot for DRK just because its way safer and you can actually tank for certain things.

To the DRK/SAM in Einherjar it all depends. You never know but there are times when DRK/SAM better and DRK/NIN is better. When you get Jellies you can't even rely on drain with sam sub due to the recast, and if your PT has 1 healer you will die or have to hold back/run unlike with NIN sub where you can just shadow up, drain and keep on DDing. Also you have to think about the bosses too Chinis like the Orobon who you kinda need shadows for, im not really sure on the others though.

My theory on Einherjar is that with so many melee attacking the same thing, not only will it ws more, but it'll die faster (both of these are hopefully common sense). To me, it makes more sense to stay alive than it does to ever so slightly do more damage since the mob isn't going to die significantly faster solely because of your sam sub. However if you die, that will significantly slow things down and that's at least 5 mins that you're shelved and useless. If the shadows save you even once, then you were better off with /nin. Not to mention it keeps the whms from running out of mp which can result in more than just you dying.

For jellies I just take off seigan when I cast Drain. Both on ~1min timer so it works out pretty good. Orobon is a pain though, but in my ls we always chainstun bosses so it hardly gets tp moves off. As for killing faster, it's not just my /sam, but everyone that does it. If everyone's /nin, you lose 6hit and no meditate so you ws slower so the mob dies quite a bit slower. And really, a lot of mobs strip shadows and still do damage. Like the ones I listed earlier, and ones with multi-hit tp moves that seigan+TE absorbs completely, like Tri-clip. I don't see the reason for /nin in einherjar outside of Orobon boss, and even then he's not that common, and possibly low-manning einherjar.
