I deleted the Katherine PM before reading it. Now my inbox always shows one unread message. There's probably some ridiculously easy remedy for this and I just can't seem to find it, anyone want to shed some light?

F5 Refresh? Nah, that doesn't work. I've only hit it over a hundred times since receiving and trashing that message. My PM box in the top right corner has said "Unread: 1" since I trashed it.

I had an unread message that showed up out of nowhere a month or so ago, it turned out it was over a year old, from Sculli, and had never shown up before.

Strange, did it disappear on its own too?

No, I clicked on it and it became marked as read, it was a duplicate of another message, that came 1 minute after the previous. It might not have shown up previously because it had the same title as the other one and came just 1 minute later. I assume it was sent to everyone:

IMPORTANT! READ! QCDN rule enforcement
Hi there,

Starting after this PM has been sent, the current QCDN rules will actually be enforced. To most of you this will not mean anything and you can go about your daily business as usual, though I do recommed to have a look at the current rules, such as they are:
-QCDN Community Standards
-QCDN Avatar & Signature Guidelines

Some forums have additional rules that apply, check the sticky threads in those forums (as applicable) for further reference.

In the past I have handled issues by contacting the poster and asking them to stick to the rules, yadda yadda yadda, this has clearly not worked.

There will be no more warnings given.
Violation of the current rules will result in a minimum 24 hour account suspension, up to and including a Perma-Ban from QCDN.

Please PM me if you have any questions about this policy. Feel free to create a thread to discuss this policy, or post to one of the two existing threads in the General Discussion forum ("What's wrong with the QCDN Community Standards?", or "Peace QCDN").

Thanks,
Sculli

Ghost of Sculli :(
Pretty soon, the flameboard will mysteriously disappear, and everyone will groan as a new board suddenly emerges once again.
The Burning Circle.
