Problem After Reinstalling FFXI

I recently had to reinstall FFXI because of computer problems. Today I was downloading the updates. POL's updates went through fine, then when I started FFXI's, it said 12,245 files on the first phase of the update (checking files). Sounded about right to me, seeing as I'd just reinstalled. Then when it finished with that phase, it went to phase 2 (downloading files). Here, however, it was only downloading a bit more than 3500 files. When that finally finished, it went to the third stage (installing files) and again said 12,245 files. After it finished, I tried to go on FFXI, and I was getting screens like this:

(Sorry for the crappy quality, I haven't gotten around to putting Photoshop back on this computer yet so I had to use Paint to convert them to JPGs :lol

At first I thought it was just because of the windower, but then I tried playing without the windower and was getting the same exact thing. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with it? :? I plan on calling Tech Support, but they are not open for another 6 hours. >.<

Try turning down your max resolutions in the FFXIconfig program. When I first got the game I had it set to the highest settings by accident and it gave me nothing but flat textures, much like what you're experiencing.

Just go into the config program and anything you can turn down/off try it and log on, if that helps, slowly increase the settings until it no longer works for you and that's the best your pc can do.

rofl I feel so stupid now. The problem was that I had forgotten to reinstall the latest drivers for my video card after having wiped out my computer and restored it. :roll:
