Has anyone else had problems calling their choco? I cant seem to get mine to work! A few other people in my linkshell are having the same problem. It gets to about 20% then quits loading.

I'm havign the same problem. Apparently you have to register your chocobo to be called? That's what someone told me, but I haven't done it yet.

I think you go back to your trainer, and there will be a new selection up on the menu, that allows you to ride it.

go talk to the chocoperson, and the option will be there to register bird to the whistle.

Yup fixed it today, and btw my choco sucks! I love him and hes cute and all but slow as hell!

I'm on my 2nd day of attempting to get a choco Whistle... I took my chocobo on 1 long and 1 regular today and yesterday but still no Choco Whistle? Is it just random and can only hope to get it tomorrow when I can walk him again or am I doing somethng wrong? I got the dirty hanky is there something I do with that...If I had the money I'd by a chocolixer or what ever they are called but don't have much $$ right now. I'm planning on heading off to farm for a couple weeks after I get myself to lvl 50...

When you find the handkerchief, you found the item. Go back to the person who asked you to find the item, and you'll get the whistle.

And yeah, mine is a slow mother-effer as well. D:

Finding the dirty handkerchief is pretty random. Some people get it on the first shot, but it took me over a week to find mine. I was almost ready to take a knife and guarantee PapaPaprika would never get a chance to breed.

oh ok that answers it then.... I was led to beleive the bird found the choco Whistle not a dirty hanky... So now all I have to do is go bring it to the Sandy NPC and I'll get my Whistle... I can't wait!! thanks

Go back to your chocobo guy and register it. It'll work then. I already used up a whole whistle last week... It costs 1k per charge when you charge it >.< Was down to 1/25 left, cost me 24k to fully charge it.

Yes, they are slow and only stay out for about 15 mins, because of most of their poor or low stats, until you get abilities or something or highest in str or end stats.

I have a pretty good feeling that all choco's are gonna be slow....

just because your choco whistle has 25 charges and recharging it is only what...500 gil? With only a 5 minute recast time on that baby...no one would be spending 1k plus at Crags such as mea. But that's just my stand on it.

Does anyone know if the riding gear would extend the time, on raised chocobos?

Not 500 gil a charge when charging it, it's 1k a charge when you're fully charging it. And it will only let you fully charge it for 1k each.

Yes, Chocobo riding gear does work. I have a full set of riding gear, and tried it out when I was testing out how long the chocobo stayed, and tried it with and without, and with it lasted about 5-10 mins longer.

and im guessing those chocobo riding gears prices are gonna go up a bit too then >.>;;
