Problems with Server?

more

managed to get on and do a Nyzul 96-100 run (our first successful attempt) hit jeuno to claim my WS, DC three times in about 5 minutes.

Some problem with the internet in general. I used speedtest.net to check some connect speeds around the world and got nor response from one of the JP servers. US ones gave results. I figure the world's probably ending, and this is just the beginning.

Annnnd I'm back to gettin das boot. Oh well.

Well I was able to get on about an hr ago. Did a ls event and kicked out soon as it ended. Awesome <_<

I've been having problems since this morning. I'm in now and it's looking good so far, but I bet I'll be DCed again in 10 minutes. This is so annoying! I'm on Comcast, too.

Connection is fine now. Fuckin' comcast... >>

I had the same issues, could get on line, but PoL would kick. There was a massive slowdown on net speed to servers in Japan. This really is not comcast or any of our providers. It looks more like something on SE's side. This happened a few years back when people would have random DC's in zones and could not get out. SE said it was the players providers, but it wound up being SE. They did a maintance to fix it.

Can be that the RMT are DDOSing the PoL servers again.
They did that before when SE started with the STFU as their answer to the first few massive rmt purges.

I was having problems connecting last night as well (POL-1006? - whatever the network connectivity one), but haven't tried today.

Comcast/MD/yadda yadda yadda

I've been having the disconnect problem over the last 3 days. I was on yesterday with no problems from 5pm ET until about 7:30... that's when I started d/cing. I'd log back in, and get d/c'd again within 10 minutes, after about the 7th time I decided it just wasn't my day. I have Time Warner... but I blame Comcast too. Friggin Comcast....

Yeah, there's been some damage to an undersea cable running from east Asia. Some fishing barge off Japan severely fucked it up or something, and it's the main line that transports most information regarding IPX and online gaming/internet uploading.

Not sure of the details, but it's going to have some minor effects to FFXI in the short-term anyway.
