PromyvionVahzl and the 'c' word

It's not like there's too much a leader (or a follower) has to know about climbing Vahzl anyway:

1. Normal Promy stuff - aggro-dodging, standing in a safe spot and pulling to clear a path as needed (empty don't link), how to deal with memory receptacles. Use ffxi-atlas for MR locations. Only difference in all of this is that you have five floors in Vahzl instead of four, and some of the later MRs can pop out weeper- and seether-style strays.

2. On the third, fourth, and fifth floors, you have to fight a spawned NM and then see a followup CS. As these NMs are basically the exact same things as the original promy bosses, none of the strat should be unfamiliar. Except if you're doing the climb and the BC in one night, you may be trying to hold off on using 2-hours or animas (but on the other hand, you can throw a whole alliance at them, rather than just a party, if you want to).

That's really about it. Honestly, anyone who's done the first three promys (and paid a remote amount of attention at the time), who has an ffxi-atlas map of Promy-Vahzl, and who knows about the three spawned NMs, pretty much has all the knowledge you *need*.

He joined our LS at Diabolos for our run through COP a couple months ago. We had one guy (LS leader) captain and lead us through vent and chat with specific instructions to make sure things went as smoothly as possible.

Meathooks stay with us was very turbulent and he rubbed many many members the wrong way. He was eventually left at promy-vhazl where he fell asleep waiting for the second run (since we had 9 people) and came back quite disgruntled.

There was a whole lot of drama that he caused in the LS during this time, i'll just say that after he left our road to Sea was much more bearable and less stressful.

Haha. Remember when we were doing Promy-Vhazl and he fell asleep at before his run? God he was an idiot the entire time going up there. I was so glad that we had to replace him at the last minute. He came back very pissed that we didn't wait but it was almost 45 minutes AFTER we beat it for the third time. Did he expect us to wait around for another hour and a half because the little baby couldn't stay awake?

Fucking classic.

We all can do well to read up and do things for ourselves in this game, but we have leaders of things for a reason. I remember a Swift Belt run flame (Intensity's?) where he went AFK for hours on end and expected his members to know whats up. He got flammed pretty bad for it.

I fail to see how this is really so much different. The leader of this run admitted to not knowing what was going to happen (unless i misunderstood) which, to me, is on the same level as saying, "Brb have fun while i'm gone for hours."

I don't agree with you there, like other ppl said, you should at least read up on stuff, OR ASK, its good to know things in promies are true sight, its really helpful to make the run as smooth as possible. And, just because Sorch had a yellow dot beside her name, doesn't mean shes has to be the one leading ppl. She said they had Clay to lead them, so it seems they weren't wandering around aimlessly. And it is not the same as "Brb have fun while i'm gone for hours." because she was not AFK, she was actively participating.

Anywayz, grats on the win Sorcha, glad u got it done in the end

I didn't mean to sound like reading on your own was a bad thing or anything. Like someone said previously, its pretty much really needed to get sea. I was just saying that he was rightfully pissed that everyone, including the leader, had no clue about it.

The person that was leading them only had a map of the area and didn't know much more than anyone else.

I just think that he blew it way out of proportion with how he reacted and thats why people should be/are flamming him, not just because he got angry because no one knew what they were doing.

I just heard from someone that Meathook used to be Deniro. IDK whether that is true or not, but that is what I heard... >_>

Whatever I do I read up on it. If no one else knows what is going on I will. It's ultimately your xp, and your time, especially in a pick up situation, you don't know what you're getting. If someone is going the wrong way instead of just going aimlessly with them, you could actually help out.

I don't care who he is. Sorcha never gets mad at anyone, that's usually our job. She's a sweet person and for him to get her to that point, only shows me that he is a complete and utter fuckbag and should be castrated for calling her such an atrocious slur.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

"Cookie" doesn't offend me, but if you guys don't like being around them you can just hand them over.

If this were the case then maybe I could understand. He was whining about which mobs do what and what special moves this one does. We knew were we were going and all brought all medicine needed. He just wanted someone to hold his hand and tell him everything he was supposed to do. On BLU I saved his ass multiple times on aggro and had to tank 2 of the 3 nm's because he couldn't do his job. I am sure you would think different if you were there Makelith. (I would have said screw it if Sorcha and shel didn't need help).

Man, don't get me started on this guy...I'll never understand why we held this guys hand for as long as we did. Not only did he complain about dying in Sacrarium over and over because of aggro he brought on himself, then he had the nerve to tell me that I hadn't done MY research on any of CoP considering I was one of 2 people leading our group through, I even had outlines of strats, and item and med lists on our LS website...Moral of the story, you would be wise to stay clear of this guy...I really think he's bi-polar.

Thank you to Morwen, Linh, Melfie, Burne, everyone for your support and help. I love you all ^^

i even commented on your pic on FFXIplayers.com and i dont get a mention? /wrists

People who use the 'c-word' are just lowlives, especially out of malice toward a female from a male. It's pretty much the n-word for females, and its just rude as hell to call someone that, no matter what the reason.

I'd have kicked that guy too.

Just so you're aware this was necro'd from two months ago...
