Protests on May 1st

All i care about may day its another holyiday ^.^
 
"Freedom" is just giving them the rope to hang themselves with...Which is apparently what they're after.
 
I love that in one of the videos a person posted, it said that a group of illegals were sueing a town because the illegals were not being guarenteed their constitutional rights of the freedom of speech and the freedom to organize...Last time i check...illegals were not given constitutional rights..

Last time i checked, illegals are the reason why a lot of our produce and products are low in price. If you want to get rid of illegals and put legals into work... who are all for more money, and maybe,.*GASP* unions. Say HELLO to inflation and death to US economy...

It was funny.. a guy who was against illegals was a estate seller, and he was being interviewed with illegals building houses HE was selling. So its like WTF you make money off of illegals and then say FCK YOU to the illegals... >_>;;

Anyways, the US won't deport illegals. It would crash the infrastructure, not to mention americans really don't want to do jobs that the illegals are doing... especially for that kind of pay.

Anyways everyone was an illegal immigrant once, it was just the white man thought he was better and deemed themselves as legal and shove the native amerians away. Weeeeeee.. HELL we are still illegals in some sense :)

Watch.. if today, bush decides to round up all the illegals protesting... we are doomed.

If you want to be technical with the constitution, then everyone has lost. At the essence and what you know is true that even if they are illegal, the consitution does protect them because they are people who are living in the USA... you maybe some lawyer, or pull some legal crap out of your ass or say HAHAH YOU ARE WRONG, but in essence. the consitutuion should protect them, and does... just the way its read and interpreted doesn't allow them to be.

There are illegals who DO pay taxes, there are news articles on those illegals that actually pay their taxes. So not all illegals steal from the government.

Hell. . . goto any resturant, and i bet you (assuming its not some french or 100 dollars per dish) they will have at least 1 illegal.

BTW> illegals aren't only mexicans. There are illegal asians, russians, middle east people, people of all types. Students whose visa expired are then illegals...

People living in a country without citizenship or a visa. It's pretty cut and dry actually.

I personally am happy with immigrant workers, to a degree. However, your comment reguarding on how all people living within the country are privy to rights guarantee'd in the constitution are kinda off, considering that is the whole point of deportation.

There are downsides not even addressed by alot of people. Like how does an illegal get a driver's licence? Cuz I've seen them drive plenty. One of the old fuckers down at the coffee shop I hang out at got plowed into by an illegal while riding his motor cycle, and since there was no way to track them the police souldn't do anything about it.

Not that other arguments aren't more persuasive, but just something else to think about when adressing the idea of people with no form of ID running around in our country.
 
I hope that everyone that skips out on work gets fired...

Personally im one of those send them back to wherever they are from people but I am not completely heartless. I think that anyone that is in their own country atm should have an easier time to migrate to the US legally since they have at least, if only accidentally shown a little bit of respect for the laws of this country.

anyways there is another thread covering this argument somewhere else so this will be my only post.

You think the solution is to just let them be?

Should they remain illegal, or should we just make May 1st our gift to illegals? Every illegal who can make it till May 1st gets free citizenship! All right!

You need to realize that they have ALL spit in the face of this country from the second they got here. They didn't obey the very first American law they came in contact with, so what makes you think they'll be "good" citizens?


This whole thing is pathetic. I don't think we have to worry about Bush rounding them up though. He won't do squat.
 
Heh, there was a protest on my campus today. They built this wall right down the middle of campus, then did a countdown and crashed through it. Pissed me off because I had to take the long way to class.lol

No protests here. Then again, my campus has less than 1% hispanic students despite the town having a huge hispanic population and large minority population on campus (lots of black, Asian, India, etc). The hispanic grounds keepers and builders were busy though...All I can say is meh.

The protests are more polarizing than anything else. If you agree, you will agree more. If you disagree, having an illegeal protest to you is just shoving it in your face and will make you disagree more. This isn't changing anyone's mind, just raising tension levels which is the last thing we need. Good for media, waste of time for everyone else.

What I do find funny is the whole thing is self defeating. If we totally opened borders to all illegeals we would get flooded with immigrants, economy would fail, and then they would be no better off than they were before except they took a bunch down with them.
