Multi-Plat Prototype

Suing Double Fine over Brutal Legend.

It has nothing to do with Prototype.. But hey its your choice. I can not take something a company irrelevant to me does to another company irrelevant to me, personal.

haha I would've never been able to play it anyway it seems due to a bug where it won't install the data. The workaround, use up your HDD space ALOT. I have 340 freaking GB of data left on my PS3 XD

I'm trying to enjoy this game but playing it right after Infamous has me a little disappointed. Cole was waaaaaaay easier to control while climbing buildings. Just bolting up everything is a pain in the ass. I am enjoying the variety of powers and throwing everything is fun.

The flash back CS annoy me a bit. I'm not a fan of 30 second flashing of 30 different things. I can't really get into the whole web of memories thing. Just not my thing.

No fucking Karma is a plus. Fuck, do I enjoy the no karma.

Little annoyed that I know I will collect all fucking location orb thingies and hint ones after finding all the fucking Blast shards in Infamous. I feel like I should play some Prince of Persia after I beat this to complete the stupid orb hunting quests.

Canned pre-order because Activision are assholes.

You're choice to be "that guy" is swell and all but unfortunately Activision isn't the one goin' to hurt over your decision, if anyone is in the first place. To put simply, you did it wrong. Activision is only a shared publisher along with Sierra. Radical Entertainment is who you kicked in the shin.

This game is rediculous fun... This is by far the most fun in a super hero sandbox game to me.

The graphics are meh..
The story is meh.. None of these games have a good story.

There are issues when trying to play small ball i guess.. Due to the fact you move so freaking fast, when you try to do something small and under control you fail.

But my my my does this game deliver in the fun department..

Its not right to compare because this and Infamous are very different other then them being sandbox superheroes..

Infamous was controlled and slower paced. More of a polished game you could say. The story is bad.. But better and told better then every other game in the genre.. So its good i guess?

Prototype is wild, fast paced and i would say insane at times.. I am honestly not even sure what the story is about. The CS's were so dull and annoying i just started to skip them half way through the game. Also this game is hard... Like balls hard..

I fully agree it's hard as balls. Some of those murder everything missions in helicopters/tanks are just so stupidly hard.

It is fun but a tad repetitive IMO. Murdering everyone and everything is a blast but doing it over and over for 8 hours gets boring. lol The whip is my favorite weapon so far.

I've yet to beat the game. I'm trying to follow the storyline but I really have no idea what's going on.

I beat it in i think it was 7 hours. I am just running around the city now going nuts. It really is fun going nuts..

I would have to say the whip arm is great.

I love the Tyson gloves and the Blade arm as well..

Oh and the armor should have been the costume through the game.

Been playing this the last few days, couldn't get on QCDN to say anything about it unti now. I'm loving this game, it's one of the better sandbox games out there(much better than Infamous in my opinion); although like Chasym, I'm getting flashbacks to Web of Shadows. That's both good and bad, since Web of Shadows was awesome, but it does give a bit of a "been there, done that" kind of feeling.

I'd have beaten it by now but I have a terrible habit of going "Oh...theres a side quest....well, I must beat that and and get the best possible score for it" And then I spend hours doing side missions....

My store got a free copy of the game and my manager let me borrow it to try it out. I'll admit; it's fun for a stress killer, but there's not much beyond the "must kill people in the gore-iest way possible to get memories back." I think inFamous is better, and would recommend that game over this one to my customers.

I think the subway/tunnel scenes in Infamous are the worste part of the game.. Sadly there are so many that i have not enjoyed the game much.

Neither game offers much. Both are repetative. Yet both are good games..

So, I beat Prototype. 2 things...

1: Greene and the final boss can go fuck themselves....Christ those were hard battles..

2: What the fuck was the storyline about? I have no idea why the final boss became the final boss or anything that happened. Like, fuck.

really the story line was simple,

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex was a scientist that discovered what exactly blacklights plans were, decided he wanted to expose them and put a stop to it, he stole a vial of the virus. They tracked him down and cornered him in central station and busted the vial thus spreading the infection all throughout manhattan. He as shot and killed, the virus entered his body and became alex.
Alex was dead, the virus just mimicked him and made himself believe he was alex.

Elizabeth was a girl in Hope Idaho, The first testing grounds for the virus that got out of control and they wiped hope off the map and reported it as some accident.
She was the only person the virus didnt horribly mutate and kill.
She somehow got pregnant while infected, She gave birth to a baby. Codename Periah. Aka the final boss. The stran of virus alex released was taken from elizabeth, thus making her alex's mother in that sense.

The whole point of the story was alex was trying to uncover what happened to him, Elizabeth, Hope Idaho and stop the virus.
You find out what happened to liz and hope through the web of intrigue, You find out about periah and alex through the main plot. theres alot more to it thats a little more complicated than this, but thats the jist of it.

My plan is to wait a little while to get this game when it drops in price. I am getting that it's a lot of mindless fun, which isn't bad but doesn't inspire me that I need to pay 60 bucks for it. Plus I think it'd be better to wait longer after beating Infamous cause I wanna enjoy this game for itself not to compare to another different game.

I'm with Firestreak on this one :P I'm still excited to get it, but, like a lot of other games I want, I'm gonna wait for a price drop. The only game now that I'm buying full price is Batman Arkham Asylum collectors edition and that's quite simply because BATERANG!

But games I want that I'm waiting for the price drops to hit:
Red Faction Guerrilla
Prototype
Godfather 2

Can you really do something like that? XD eat an old man, become him, and then elbow drop his wife or disguise as a soldier and say another soldier is you? God I want it even more now

I really enjoyed playing Infamous and this game seems very similar to it so I ordered it earlier today.

Really looking forward to playing it, I love open world games.

Edit: I just noticed how old those posts are lol :<

It's an awesomely fun game. I haven't read any posts other than the OP and yours Tyrath, so I may be repeating but whatever. You can upgrade your sprint speed to... pretty fast, hold down... "a" I think to charge your jump, which can also be upgraded, glide (upgradable also), and that's just your character's movement. In addition to a fair few abilities, including the ability to shapeshift into the last person you consumed (giving you health), you can do what I spent about 3 hours doing - grabbing a random civilian, running up the tallest building you can find, and lobbing the poor soul as far as you can (also upgradable). It doesn't get much more fun!

Yes, you can. The "patsy" ability is especially fun; you consume a military member, then use the patsy ability on another member of the military, insinuating that the military member you're pointing at is in fact the mutant they're searching for, and they'll gun him down in any number of hilarious ways from simple gunfire to rocket launchers etc. It's pretty funny.

Necro, I know, but I finally got around to playing this game this weekend. I'm too broke for Uncharted and Borderlands, so I borrowed this from a friend of mine to kill time until Friday when I get paid.

The running/jumping/gliding is awesome. I don't think I've ever had more fun getting from point A to point B.

That said, once you get to point B, everything else sucks.

Ok, maybe "sucks" is too strong of a word, but this game feels lousy. I don't know, it just stopped being fun after the first few missions. It isn't even the repetitiveness, that I can deal with, the game itself just doesn't stay fun for very long.

Obligatory InFamous > Protohype.
