I'm still a noob at PS, but I did a pic for Eilistrae.
Take a look and let me know what you think. If you have pointers and such let me know. I need all the help I can get. :oops:
I'm still not happy with the pic, but I kinda got tired and gave up. :?

I think that's really awesome, I really like the hat/hair/eyes! You're very good in photoshop hun!!

Only thing I'd do is add a bg and make the hand a bit bigger :wink:

You used photoshop right? I'd suggest trying out the dodge tool to give some of your highlights and play around to experiment. You really have the shadows and light right in this pic, I don't see any flaws with that. However i'd suggest either using different "blurry" brushes or the smudge tool so that the colors blend more. If you were going for an "anime" look you can either do the cell style (which involved solid colors the majority of the time) or you can do a more artistic approach where you blend. It seems that you were going with both and that's fine, but i'd blend your colors a little more so that they "bleed" into each other.

The hat is probably the best part of this pic, you have really great skill getting the right angle to the shine and shadows, and the hat is pretty much perfect in my opinion. I really like the colors you have for the outfit, especially where you have the greys mixed into the red. It adds depth having additional colors there, and a lot of artists only stick with different opacities to the shade of color they used. By you actually taking different shades, and choosing the right ones you're making the image a lot more "pleasant" to look at.

Only other suggestion i'd have is to make the hair a bit more "stringy" but that's more "artist preference" based. I prefer to have hair look more natural as opposed to the Sephiroth chunks of hair. The eyes are great, you have again a nice shine to them. A lot of detail in them as well giving them more depth and making them a good focal point of your image.

And with the lips, i'd of just added a more "M" curve to them to make them a bit more realistic. Giving them a bit of a bump (well two bumps) but again, this is all based on an artists style.

You've done a really excellent job here, and most of the suggestions I have are just based to my preference when I color and draw in photoshop so you don't necessarily need to do anything with them, though you can try them out if you're interested. You have your own style, and you do have skill.... lots of it. Great work ^_^

I would give my first born (if that happens<_<) to draw like that Tenkax. ; ;

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions all :D . I'll see what I can do for my next project. I know if I spend more time playing with PS I can get better. :wink:
