Alright, so, for christmas I got FFXI for the PS2. Hard Drive, network adapter, CoP, everything I needed.

Well, it turns out that I'm just not set up in the living room to be able to play with a keyboard. If I sit at the couch, the keyboard is too far and low from me and I have the basically crouch to use it. If I sit on my recliner, it's unstable and shaky on my lap...

Does anyone A. Have any suggestions, or B. Want to buy a network adaptor, a hard drive, a copy of FFXI for the PS2 and a copy of COP for the PS2. The installation codes were never used, since I already have a copy registered to me...and everything's in perfect condition. I'll obviously give a discount since it's all been opened and I don't have the boxes for the hard drive and Network adaptor anymore.

/em sighs.

So much for my christmas money...

Hmmm....If I had another copy, I'd just need another PS2 and my wife could play. Could that be the end of wife aggro? :P

Are you using the keyboard/controller thingy? Maybe there is an extension available for the cord to make it longer.

I play on a 13" TV/VCR combo, and it sucks...But i haven't touched another game since I started FFXI. Hehe.

If I buy 50 feet of CAT 5, I should be able to make it to my living room TV, which would be a big improvement.

Lemme know what you want for the network adapter, HDD, FFXI+COP.

Is this a Wireless Keyboard?

I use a wireless keyboard and it pretty much is strictly for typing. I do everything else with the PS2 Controller. I either set the keyboard right beside me or I sit with my legs crossed in a 4 position, which keeps its stable. A friend of mine uses a cheap TV Dinner tray to set his keyboard in front of him. Not sure if any of that will help you any.

Not a wireless keyboard, and not a compact keyboard. It's just the old keyboard for my PC, which seems to work perfectly. I bought a compact keyboard, didn't work, bought a "Sharkboard" didn't work. I'd offer the old PC keyboard too but it's FILTHY and I'd be embarassed to give it to someone. Any regular PC keyboards should work perfectly though.

I just don't know how anyone plays on PS2 with controller and keyboard. It looks like such a pain in the ass. I barely ever touch my mouse anymore.

All I know is the PS2 version made my wrists hurt SO DAMN much. Ask my LS I went to the doctor the pain was so bad.

I use a logitech wireless usb keyboard. Not only is it wireless (the main reason I got it) but it's slightly larger than a normal KB, meaning it sits in my lap with nice stability.

I think the whole PS2/PC thing is just what your used too. I started on my PS2 and got very comfortable with everything. I later purchased it for my laptop so that I could play when Im on the road for work. I cant stand the PC version. I will only craft or chat, I will not party with it.

I had that one. I didn't like it because it didn't have the number pad on it, and, for some odd reason, it didn't work with my PS2. My PS2 is rather old, and is kind of picky about controllers.

The keyboard cord isn't too short! ; ; The setup in my living room just sucks monkey balls. It's not as comfortable and stable as my desk in the living room.

I actually found my piano bench/chair thing to be perfect for me. Stick it right in front of your couch and stick the keyboard on it and presto. If your keyboard just sucks and hurts your hands that's another problem entirely. There are many great keyboards designed to be comfortable for gaming but not all are USB compatitble. If you've resigned and are set on selling it then send me private message I may or may not have a friend who might be interested.

I have a Usb extension cable, and the keyboard sits on the couch to my right, and I type one handed ^^

Ive been trying to find an old style PS2 for my son (got him the HDD and network adaptor already) Did you find yours online or did you buy it in the store? just curious on the last one XD

My PS2 is really old. I've had it since they were 299.99. So, probably the year the came out. I got mine at gamestop heh.

Using a logitec USB keyboard plugged right into the PS2 as well as a kickass dual shock controller with built-in fan for those long exp groups ^_^

Works fine for the most part, but I've yet to get use to typing on my lap on a keyboard 2/3rd's the size of my computer's.

Such is gaming life =p

No way for me. I'm a PC MMO gamer, and I REFUSE to use a PS2 controller to play a game I'd rather use the PC setup for.

I use a USB keyboard and sit in the indian leg cross position. Works fine for me, never had any problems.
