PS2 FFXI Auto Start Up?

[Helius]

Does some method exist to automatically launch PoL when you start you PS2? I believe having the CD in the console does this, but my PS2 has nearly become unable to read any CDs I throw in it. Just curious if there was a way.

Can't you just load right from the HD?

That's the only way it will autostart up. You can go through the harddrive like romper said, but that's not an autostart up.

just few clicks to load from HDD, wont take you more than 1 minute...at least thats how long it took me

Just put in one of the dvds and t'll auto load.

Yeah it's only 1 min, but if you have your account to auto log and auto sign in, you can flick the on button, walk away, and come back 5 mins just as the ffxi button pops up for you to hit x.

Yeah, I just log in via clicking into the HD, was just curious is all. Thank you.

Eh, I like being lazy and booting from the disk. Provided the last time I played I didn't lose power, I can go spend two minutes to take a leak or something while the PS2 boots up and PoL connects.
Laziness at its finest.
